What a property! We arrived quite late in the evening after a tiring 7 hour drive of 250 KMs from Trivandrum to Munnar. The ease with which we could be in touch on phone and through chat with the caretaker, Gokul kept us engaged to welcome with the sweet aroma of Kannan Devan Tea, soon to be followed by the tongue lashing dinner. Every meal had its own flavour, including a cooking session with the young brats in the family was the highlight. The bungalow is located amidst the large Tea estate and its greenery whichever window or door one opens. The amenities are adequate and might not justify a star studded status of Taj group. It is nature, greenery, happy birds chirping the entire day and sheer rustic beauty all around. What else one could do in such a setting, with good food, large bedrooms, staff at your beck and call, and cool morning breeze and meandering streams and yes, the ability to interact with the Tea-picking teams of ladies from TN and JH!!! We felt the two nights’ stay was a wrong decision and should have just stayed for a couple of more nights. Subin Cherian and his devoted team of Irudaya Swamy and Mary or the ever-smiling Bilal or the resourceful Gokul, may not exude the 5 star polish, but take it from me, they belong to the 7 star creed when it comes to genuine hospitality…. We will come again, may be with larger crowd.

We stayed for three days at Medupatty bungalow, Munnar , celebrating my sister’s 70 th birthday. We were a party of six. The bungalow is beautiful, old colonial style. It is wonderfully maintained with well laid gardens . The view is of Mefupatty lake and hills around. If you are lucky as us, you get to see wild elephants. I cannot complement the staff enough. We took full board with all meals. Food was excellent and the team headed by Subin couldn’t do enough to cater to our requests. Service team included Bilal TK a trainee staff and Adiesh were very good. Always courteous and doing the very best for the guests. House keepng was good. Manager Gokul and Subin leading the team do a great job. I’m sorry to leave the place

We stayed with our family and it was great !! All of us loved it. The food was amazing. The service was amazing as well and the views from supposing areas was the spectacular. Wherever we we went around Munnar and the views was prettiest outside / in the area of our bungalow. the staff took us for a walk in the surrounding the state and even early morning surrounding state filled with clouds and was spectacular. the chef prepared some of the most delicious dishes that we have ever had. On request they even prepared breakfast in the lawn for us. we would love to stay there again the staff was very kind and accommodated all over request as much as possible. We asked for some additional facilities request like tailoring and altering of some clothes and they arranged. the sightseeing arranged by a car and driver was also quite comfortable . Our family. All of us enjoyed the staty thoroughly .. Amazing amazing. Amazing. Amazing !!
