Hôtel Restaurant la Cigogne

We booked last minute this hotel by *********** because driving through the Route of Cretes without a precise schedule. Location is nice in the center of this small town, so it is also easy to find. But when we arrived at about 18 (not in the middle of the night!!), it was closed (!!!), with a paper on the door saying to call a certain number, which we did. Unfortunately the only spoken language was french and we understood with some difficulty that we should take personally our key, after that luckily we could get in because someone was getting out……fantastic. And later (when we had already the key) we even helped a german family to get in by opening the hotel door, because they were having exactly our same problem. Once we could finally take the key of our family room (actually two rooms),it was clean and large enough, although the ceiling at about 2.2 m makes the room as low as a basement. Parking is available. At checkout we learned that on Mondays the restaurant connected with the hotel is closed and therefore the hotel is unattended as well, which is a quite interesting argument (!!!). Overall, very bad impression.

Fijne kamer. Het restaurant serveert eenvoudige smakelijke maaltijden. Goede wijnkaart. Eigen parking. Ideaal als stopplaats op terugweg uit het zuiden. In het stadje zijn er ook voldoende restaurants met meer uitgebreide menu's. Een goed adres.

Nous avons dîner au restaurant de l'hôtel de la Cigogne lors de notre séjour à Munster et nous avons été très bien servi, l'accueil était au top et la nourriture très bonne. Les prix corrects, il n'y a rien à dire de plus c'était parfait.
