The Victoria Inn

I literally loved my room so much! That I now consider it “My Room” and will be requesting it every time I return. Beautiful balcony. Gorgeous linens. Everything well appointed. 200% recommend staying here. Lovely staff. Yummy breakfast. Great location. Also there’s cookies!!!

We stayed in the Eucalyptus Suite, which is just as lovely in person as in the photos. And very thoughtfully appointed - everything including a USB hub, corkscrew, flashlight, chess set and even salt and pepper in the well equipped kitchenette. However, this room is not especially senior friendly. We are in our 70s, reasonably fit and healthy, but do try to avoid situations where we could fall. The bed's mattress came up to my waist. I was able to use the provided bed steps to get in, but had to carefully slide down and sort of thump to the floor to exit. My husband, who is taller, was able to sort of hop in. The beautiful tub was too tall for us to feel comfortable getting in and out of, so we relied on sink baths during our stay. If you are younger, fitter or less cautious, you will love this room. Otherwise, give it some thought. The included continental breakfast was very nice and the lovely woman in charge of it could not have been more welcoming. All the employees were great. In general you will be happy staying here.

The roon exceeded my expectations. Lange and quite. And a short distance from the main ***** in Murphys. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The metal roof would pop when the air changed. But not a big deal. We got use to it quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Inn. Loved every minute of it. Can’t wait to go back. There are plenty of things to do right in the town of Murphys. Just steps outside of the end or tons of tasting rooms, restaurants breweries, spice stores, boutiques, and nice parks to walk around.

This was a very nice and comfortable inn in what we thought was the nicest town in the Gold Country. The people were lovely and helpful. We had one of their cheapest rooms but it had a nice balcony overlooking the courtyard. The inn is in a pretty little short side street off the Main Street so it was quiet at night. We enjoyed walking around the town from right out of the front door.

Perfect location in middle of main Street , Murphy's. Quiet. ( Which potentially could vary if you had noisy neighbors). Very nice accommodations. Stayed in room 6. Two nights stay. Bathrooms clean , nice water pressure.Fluffy towels. Beds are a bit firm , so if you are sensitive to that then don't select this room. I have no idea if the mattresses are the same in all the rooms; this is the first time we've stayed here. AC worked great! Good WiFi. No refrigerator , which they tell you about so we brought a cooler with ice packs. No TV , which we tend to to use. They offer a continental breakfast which we did not use. I would recommend!

Every year we enjoy an amazing family vacation to Murphy's the first week of October. We stay at The House on Main and it's a magical experience for all of us. It's our annual kick-off to fall. The hosts at Victoria inn are professional, great at communication, and make our experience very seamless & enjoyable. Murphy's has a special place in our hearts and the team at Victoria Inn Rentals and The House on Main is a large part of the experience and memories we are blessed to enjoy. We highly recommend renting from them!

Great location above the main street of downtown Murphy's California. The loft was very clean and had added charm with classy decor. Parking was easy and right outside our door. Located less than 2 miles from Ironstone Winery. Would love to stay again for another night. Thank You!

The Redwood Region PCA has traveled to the Ironstone Winery Concours for the last three years. We always stay at the Victorian Inn. We love the unique room decor is always in the spirit of gold country. Plus the centre location of the inn to restaurants, bars, wine tasting, ice cream plus many things to investigate. This year they offer a breakfast bar that was outstanding... We are all booked for September 2025.
