Evolve Back Kabini

Evolve back is a very special experience, with beautifully appointed cottages and facilities, a wonderful location, and a highly trained team. Tapan, the head chef deserves a special mention for going out of his way to cook items off the menu. We were touched by his hospitality and obvious dedication to his work, being present and checking with guests at literally every meal. Quality and variety of food at the buffet and grill restaurant was outstanding. The naturalists Aneesh, Shanmuga and vishal were fun and informative. We managed to see a tiger, otters, crocodiles, mongoose, gaur and a variety of birds and animals. Rupa, our guest relations contact was very responsive and greatly helped smoothen logistics - very helpful given we were traveling as a group. If I could, I would deduct half a star for the bar, which is cosy but does not live up to the resort standard - no vermouth, several menu items out of stock, the limited champagne available not pre-chilled, all of 2 selections for rum etc. the staff did their best to compensate but this area needs immediate attention. The second was the 45 min long check out process due to confusion around the safari bills owing to an extra person joining one safari and cancelling on another one. But given this must happen fairly often, surely there needs to be a better system. Lastly, I would suggest keeping some children’s bicycles so they can enjoy exploring the surrounds also. And the kids club can be better organised with activities for the kids, which will help parents who otherwise need to play with and mind the kids at the club. Simple things like helping create pressed leaves and flower activities, kite flying etc can be done. Kids clubs abroad are excellent and there are a lot of good ideas that evolve back can borrow Other than that, our stay was wonderful and I would highly recommend evolve back Kabini

Evolve Back Kabini is a stunning lodge with fantastic service & wonderful facilities. We stayed for 3 nights in one of the pool hut villas, which offer space, quality and privacy in equal measures. The two restaurants are both excellent and offer a wide selection of local & international dishes. We also really loved the sundowner deck, the reading room & the infinity pool. However, the real reason for visiting Kabini are the safaris !! We booked our 3 jeep safaris and 1 boat safari well in advance to avoid disappointment. We're lucky enough to have been on many safaris in Africa and those at Kabini provided a very similar quality of sightings. Across the 4 safaris we had 3 separate tiger sightings plus leopards, elephants, gaur, wild boar, deer and a multitude of bird species. A very special experience

One of the best experiences of resort that I have ever had. Rooms were spacious, with attached pool for the kids to enjoy (so much they never wanted to come out). Courteous staff, great food. Package included breakfast and dinner and the spread was awesome from local cuisine to continental. Always the staff would greet you with namaskara with a smile and this leaves a smile on your face and namaskara back on your lips. The naturalist's were knowledgeable and helped a lot starting from knowledge sharing before safari's and good at spotting and helping us spot. Their wildlife species knowledge was also commendable. We did 3 safaris, one boat safari and 2 road safari. We were very very lucky enough to see tigers on two of those safaris. The experience of seeing the big jungle cat in their natural habitat is something else, but the anticipation even before you see it is much more thrilling. All in all a great holiday' enjoyed thoroughly.

Leave the "beep beep" of city life and enjoy the "cheep cheep" of the birds at Evolve back. This place restores and soothes your soul. The accomodations are wonderful. The staff is very attentive and the food is delicious. It's a magical place. We loved the birding walk, the ox cart ride and both the water and jeep safari. If you have room take your own binoculars as the safari only gave one pair per couple. Jaguars move fast - so it's good to have yours ready if you are lucky enough to see a big cat.

The reception committee was excellent, the room first class and the choice of food amazing. All the staff were most attentive and polite and respectful The activities were well organised and game drives excellent The swimming pool was a delight

A gem of a resort in India. You feel truely connected with nature. The resort is well located on the banks of the Kabini river, the staff is very warm and welcomming, the food is delicious, and the pool huts are spacious, private, and well designed.
