It was an average experience, but for the premium price charged by the resort, the service wasn’t up to Hilton standards. Three key issues:
1. We asked for dental kits from four different people at different times, the housekeeping staff asked us to check with the office. We even went to the reception to collect it ourselves but they said the housekeeping staff will bring it to the room but again, nobody turned up. 3 days, and no dental kits whatsoever. We ended up buying our own from the stores inside.
2. The biggest issue we had was with the TVs. There was no TV signal throughout the resort, they said they had a technical error but there was no action taken my anyone. I asked the reception team to put me through to the duty manager but I was not provided any details. Extremely disappointed, kids were bored in the room without tv and there was no alternative provided, not even an apology was provided. I tried to provide direct feedback instead of writing it here, but ended up waiting at the reception until I gave up. 3 days were enough here, next time I’ll be going to another resort.
3. Beach is not really a beach, it’s all rocks with a small section towards the end of the resort that can be called a beach but very murky water. If you’re looking for clear Fijian waters, this is not the right place.
Good things about the resort:
1. Excellent breakfast options, great staff, especially Anu who always greeted us with a smile.
2. Great pool areas for kids, and decent a la carte menu options
3. Theme nights were beautiful, we attended Fridays gala night and Saturdays fire dance shows, spectacular food and amazing performances.
