We had a truly wonderful 3-nights stand in this fabulous and traditional 400 years old house, lovingly restored by the hosts themselves. the story behind the property is incredible and you can feel the passion and care in every detail. our room was cozy, peaceful and full of charming touches that each told a part of the house’s story. everything was spotless and super clean with the excellent bathroom products- a real touch of luxury. breakfast was a highlight each morning beautifully prepared à la carte using delicious regional products. it was a real treat to start the day that way Rodrick and his lovely wife were outstanding hosts- warm, knowledgeable and happy to share tips and stories that made our stay even more special. the village itself is beautiful and perfectly located for exploring the area.we truly enjoyed or time here and hope to come back soon. We have loved our stay at this beautiful farmhouse. You will feel like you have stepped back in time with the rich history and aesthetics that surround you. This property has been in their family for hundreds of years and is now lovings restored to its original charm. We extended our stay for 3 days because we knew nothing else could compare!

I would recommend Il-Bàrraġ to anyone looking for a home away from home kind of stay on the island of Gozo. Staying here has been like stepping back in time. The hosts are a lovely couple who take so much pride & joy in creating a beautiful stay in their restored farmhouse with their guests. Every morning we started the day with a handcrafted breakfast of true Maltese flavour, while sitting in the shaded courtyard. See photo two for example. The hosts have a lot of knowledge to share about the house, dating back nearly four centuries, and the 7 years it took them to restore the family property. We loved staying here so much we extended our stay by 3 days and are glad by it. ＜3

Beautifully appointed with lots of charm and history. Rodrick is a wonderful host and provides a delicious breakfast with lots of choice. Very helpful with our needs. It’s located in a lovely little village with excellent restaurants close by.

It was cute and quaint. However, I had to feed coins to make the air conditioner work and the bed was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was good, a little light for me…and I could only have one drink, I like 2 cups of coffee and juice in morning. Overall it was pleasant but I probably won’t stay there again.
