Athena Hotel

This is a terrific hotel - they make you feel like family from the time you arrive to the day of your departure. Location is excellent- perfectly situated in the center of town so you can either retreat to your room, or enjoy sitting at one of the cafes in the “piazza” at center of town, or take the 10 minute walk to sit in a cafe or restaurant on the water. Breakfast at the restaurant is excellent and includes some homemade goodies. First came here in 2016, thinking it wold be a one time visit, and have returned every year since since then. If you want a small, clean, friendly place in excellent location and good breakfast, this is it.

This place is, in my opinion, is a delightful little city hotel in the heart of the old part of Nafplion. The rooms are fairly compact I will admit, but nonetheless very comfortable! Nice beds, all facilities are modern and the balconies are very cute, allowing you to sit outside in the middle of the city and enjoy the hustle and bustle of it below you. Breakfast in the morning is served downstairs in a small and tidy area near the hotel’s reception. It consists of a mixture of cooked elements, cakes, cereals etc. Plus the hotel provides delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. There aren’t many rooms at all, so it doesn’t feel overcrowded with too many guests at all. The staff who work there are super friendly and helpful. And the location is just brilliant - so many great bars, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance around you, plus the harbour and the sea are only a few minutes walk away too If you are someone that wants to lounge about in a spacious room, this is not for you. But if you’re looking for respite and down time while on a trip to fab Nafplion, I don’t think you need anything more than here!

This hotel is beautiful. Clean, simple and dead center of the city. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Convenient to everything. The only downside is that it requires a walk towing your bags from the nearest street, roughly a block away. We drove in circles for half an hour trying to find it.

Sono tornata dopo qualche anno in occasione del Medys di Nafplion. L'hotel è centralissimo al porto e comodo per la visita alle barche. Le camere sono piccole ma dotate di ogni comfort e rinnovate anche nell'arredo. La colazione è super con yogurt greco e dolci fatti in casa. Consigliato.

Εξαιρετικό ξενοδοχείο , απόλυτα καθαρό και το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό . Το πρωινό του ήταν από τα καλύτερα καθώς όλα ήταν χειροποίητα από τα χεράκια της Μαρίας και κάθε μέρα υπήρχε μεγάλη ποικιλία …..

Nous avons séjourné trois nuits dans cet hôtel en famille : 12 personnes des grands parents aux petits enfants. Il y a d'énormes différences entre les chambres standard et les autres : les chambres standard sont minuscules impossible de trouver un endroit où poser sa valise, une minuscule penderie au dessus du frigo qu'il a fallu débrancher pour y poser une valise et la sensation permanente de se marcher dessus dès qu'on était deux dans la chambre - les autres chambres étaient vastes et bien équipées. Les lits sont confortables et les chambres et les salles de bains sont propres et les petits balcons sont appréciables. La localisation est parfaite, au centre de Nauplie. Autre problème : la salle du petit déjeuner est exiguë et on nous a imposé dès notre arrivée des créneaux échelonnés pour nos trois jours...les premiers devaient déjeuner à 8h, les suivants à 9h et les derniers à 10h - pas vraiment pratique quand on est en famille et qu'on a un programme à respecter ! Dommage car le personnel du petit déjeuner était prévenant et efficace et le jus d'orange pressé à la demande est un plus.
