Aethra Boutique Rooms

The people were wonderful and welcoming, In my case, the room was even ready a little early. The room itself was ample in size for a solo traveler and would have been OK for a couple (there's almost no place to put one's clothing though, i.e. no drawers at all). The internet connection was excellent, and they kindly had a complimentary bottle of water waiting in the refrigerator. The breakfast was simple but tasty and quite satisfying. The location worked perfectly for me as it is in the heart of downtown Nafplio. So, lots of good things about this property, hence my high rating. If we could do half ratings, I'd have given it a 4.5. The only issue I had was with the bathroom. Some characteristics are common to Europe (e.g., tiny bit of immovable glass bordering the less than half shower that results in water on the bathroom floor), but one item would give me a little pause about staying there again. That one item was the inability to take a comfortable shower. The mount for the shower head was at upper leg to crotch level only. There was no way to have the shower head secured above oneself and directed downward. This left me eager to depart and get someplace where I could have a proper shower. Also, for travelers' awareness, you WILL have to handle many steps to come and go from Aethra. If you have mobility issues, this location could be a problem for you.

Our room was just amazing. The bed was so comfortable we could not get up easily! The staff was helpful and kind, breakfast was delicious (loved the scrambled eggs and omelette) and the location is great (right in the heart of the old city, everything was so close). Thank you Aethra for this lovely getaway, we definitely are coming back! ❤️

Fabulous hotel, excellent staff. Beautiful rooms. Daily cleaning. Lovely Greek buffet breakfast and fresh eggs daily. Terrace where you eat breakfast is gorgeous. Katia in particular went above and beyond for us. I would highly recommend.

An amazing boutique hotel in the middle of the fabulous old town of Nafplio , starting from the aesthetic decoration to the healthy breakfast to the calm and nice garden where you can drink your morning coffee in peace and total relaxation . The team is very welcoming and helpful and the house keeping ladies are really polite and would do anything to keep your stay smooth and match your expectations. The only problem, in my opinion,  that must be kindly taken into consideration ,is I guess a common problem to all Nafplio's guest houses which is transporting the luggage to the hotel , since all hotels are up on a hill and no personel to do this job so we had to do it and as being a family of 6 persons who had many bags it was a hard work to do; so all hotels must have some porters to help,  other than that everything was just perfect !!! Thank you for your hospitality ❣

Excellent location in the heart of the old city, superb service, cosy rooms and tasty breakfast. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in general. The only drawback is the amount of steep steps you have to go through to get to the hotel.

Posto fantastico, una vista spettacolare, molto pulito. Le signore gentilissime e ospitali, colazione abbondante e gustosa. Le camere curate nei dettagli, con un bel balconcino, il giardino molto carino con arance buonissime. Ottima posizione.
