Hotel Metropolitan Nagano recensioner

This hotel has seen better days but still charming in its ways. Location was perfect with direct access to the mall at the train station via the 2nd floor. Rooms and bathrooms were big and relatively clean. Good value!

Location is THE best if you are planning to make Nagano your base and take the train to explore the other regions of the prefecture. It is literally connected to the train station on the 2nd floor. Plus there are great restaurants in Midori Shopping Centre which is part of Nagano train station.

Location is excellent. There's direct link bridge between the hotel and the Nagano station. So it's very easy to get to the train station with our luggage. We only stayed one night and Nagano is only our transit stop to other attractions. So we didn't manage to see much in Nagano. But we did notice that there are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Staffs are friendly but some don't speak much English.

Great location! Very near train station. Front desk was helpful and helped us call our next hotel to arrange pick-up.

Excellent location, just next to JR station. Better take the breakfast option of the hotel, as there are not much breakfast choice around the area.

The location is great, very near to train station. If you are taking buses to snow monkey park, the bus terminal is very near.

Hotel is connected to the JR Nagano station, very accessible to bus terminal to Hakuba and Snow Monkey resort. Donki is just opposite with eateries and combini stores! Hotel room is good enough for 3 and space for luggage!

Super convenient next to JR Nagano station. Hotel check in was fast and they managed to lend me a sewing kit and a small screw driver for me to open my toy to change batteries. Breakfast selection wasn’t that great with as it had few muslim friendly options. Room was big. Laundry service had to be booked in advance and we didn’t know so couldn’t do our laundry. The TV had a screen to show the amount of time remaining for the laundry machines. There was a free water dispenser but only at hotel lobby. For convenience to train station and easy access to snow monkey bus, it was still an awesome experience for us.

Really love how convenient and strategically it's located. Everything is just within walking distance, broadly speaking

My wife and I stayed in a standard twin room for 5 nights in early May 25. The location is excellent as it is right beside the Nagano Station which was a key consideration for us given our travel plans around Nagano Prefecture. The station building has every modern convenience travellers require including supermarket, pharmacy, shopping and various food options. The room was functional but served our needs well. Only small quibble was that the bathroom was small and won't accommodate two adults in there at the same time. We were happy with the stay given the convenience

It is as good as all the reviews suggest. I had a comfortable stay here. It will be my top pick next time I visit Nagano

My room on the 7th floor was comfortable and well-appointed. While not the largest room I've stayed in (around 18 square meters, I believe), it was certainly adequate for my needs as someone who mostly uses the room as a base for exploring. The bed was just right – not too firm, not too soft – and I slept soundly. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the comfortable armchair with an ottoman, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The view from my window wasn't spectacular, overlooking a street partially obscured by another section of the hotel, but I could still see a decent stretch of the city skyline.
