My Place recensioner

False advertising, promotes "ocean view" but instead gives a view of the river and a parking lot. Also earliest check out I've ever seen, 10am, and they will try to charge you extra if you stay longer. Also no elevator, isolated location, also puddles in the stairwell, fake brick wall, also need multiple door codes to get in, so keys are not enough, more issues also but don't want to spend more time listing them. Please stay somewhere else if you want kindness, courteousness and transparency. There are so many good options on this beautiful island, and usually places are very welcoming and respectful, so please give your money to somewhere else. Oh and constant noise from the port, so just forget any ideas of an ocean view sunset, won't get anything like that here, I've added photos of the actual view from the window so you don't have to worry about believing the concealing photos on the ads they have. Last thing I want to say is that hostels/hotels should welcome their guests as a display of hospitality, that's how it's supposed to go, so when a place just acts like it wants to maximize profits without care for it's guests it's a bit shameful, honestly, especially in a country with so much kindness and respect. My guess is that this place is foreign owned or at least foreign operated...

Came here three times. Very clean and helpful staff. Right next to the boats that take you to the islands 🙏.

The place is close to the port if you want to explore the islands. Olivia and the Japanese staff were absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this place

Nice hostel with a relaxed vibe. Inviting common areas. Rooms are functional, and meet all your basic needs. Proximity to the ferry to Zamami makes it perfect for a good night's sleep before heading to the islands in the morning.

Great hostel very conveniently located very close to the Naha pier that can get you to the Keramashoto National Park And Zamami Islands! Can easily walk to the nearest Family Mart convenience store and a fish market for eats and drinks.

値段とのコストパフォーマンスは最高で特にリビングダイニングのこだわりがとても良かったです。多国籍な雰囲気も味わえて　他のお泊まり客の手料理が見れたり　ギターが　置いてあったりと…特に　家ではなかなか味わえないハンモックが素敵でした。またきかいがあれば利用したいです。駐車場が無料で止めれてありがたかったです。広くて止めやすかったので運転の苦手な人でも大丈夫かなと思いました。お部屋は　ドミトリーでは無く個室を利用させてもらったのでテレビTV エアコン　無料Wi-Fi ドライヤー　デスクがあり　コンセントもあったので　便利でした。 まあお隣さんの咳払い等が聞こえるのはもちろんお互い様ですかね。気になる人はもっとたくさんお金を出して良いホテルを予約した方が良いでしょうが！利用目的によると思います♪

還行，還不錯

初のドミトリーでしたが、チェックインの対応もかなりよく、すごく快適に過ごせました。また行きたい。そう思えるような場所でした！

Shower on 3rd floor is very clean, love the coworking space vibe. and very close to Naminoue beach. also the Kokusai doori is quite close from the hotel. The staff speaks perfect english. everything is closeby rent car, konbini, even ferry terminal.

Very nice accommodation, good location and kind staff. Would recommend. The ferries for the island are 2 mins away from the hostel. The people are very sociable and nice so it’s easy to meet new people and get connected with each other which is also pretty good it you’re traveling solo

Very nice welcome and the room is very clean! Amazing so far! Definitely recommended! I just arrived today and the first impression definitely is great! Can’t wait for my whole experience here. Thankyou for the opportunity that I am able to stay here in Okinawa 🙏🏼

My Place is unquestionably the best hostel in Naha. It’s my third time choosing to stay here between side trips to surrounding islands, I love it here, and wouldn’t stay any place else! The staff is fabulously kind, warm, caring, and intent on making the guests experience on Okinawa the best it can be. They are extremely helpful with travel details and recommendations, and helping in any way possible to get oriented in Japan. I find where the staff is amazing, so are the guests, which is certainly true for My Place. I am so grateful to have landed here, it feels like home. Additionally, they have an entire business center work space set up for the digital nomad that is impressive

This is a clean, economical place to stay, and particularly convenient for guests planning to use the nearby ferries for various excursions. However, other travelers should note that My Place can seem a bit isolated, particularly on winter nights when its immediate area can seem desolate. Though a 24-hour convenience store is down the road, the facility did not feel particularly close to restaurants, other retail locations, metro stops, etc. The hostel includes two buildings next to each other. A smaller one features space for check-in, communal cooking and dining, laundry equipment, vending machines, and workspaces -- including free wifi. The larger three-story building houses the actual rooms and bathing facilities, but no elevators. This separation of buildings partly reinforces the feeling of isolation on winter nights, particularly since the check-in desk may not be staffed after certain hours.
