That sounds incredibly frustrating! It’s understandable that I am disappointing, especially after booking a non-smoking room and expecting a comfortable stay. The smoke issue through the air-conditioning must be unbearable, and the excessive noise from neighboring rooms is definitely disruptive when I am trying to rest.
I’d recommend speaking with the hotel reception immediately. I firmly request a room change, highlighting that my booking was for a non-smoking room and that the current conditions are affecting my comfort.
For the noise issue, bringing it to their attention may encourage them to remind guests to keep their volume down. Hotels typically have quiet hours, so they should address disturbances that affect other guests' experience.
If the hotel does not resolve the issue, you might consider leaving a review or escalating it to management. Hopefully, they can fix the situation soon.
