This is a unique experience for those wishing to stay in a traditional tulou. The rooms were clean and simple, and the residents of the tulou friendly and welcoming. The shared toilet facilities are outside the building, and there is a bucket outside each room for use at night time. You can eat inside the tulou for dinner and lunch or there are a few other options in the Tianluokeng village. A beautiful setting and a very memorable experience.

Visited my ancestral traditional living squatters built as a consolidated united community for better living environments and survival.
There are still many families living in the tulou. Main business is agriculture and tourism.
The roads leading to the tulou are made up of irregularly shaped stones. As such, it’s not easy to pull the big luggage along (few hundred metres walk). Recommend to carry backpacks for short stays, leave the big luggage at the tourists centre.
Good experience to live together with friendly people whom I can practice my Hakka.
They also provide home-cooked meals, reasonable prices. Good food.

The experience of staying in a Tulou connects you with the culture and the history behind it. witness local Hakka life, whether it's through food preparation, a tour of the building’s history, or a cultural performance. You could join the hosts in a traditional meal, sampling authentic Hakka cuisine such as Hakka stuffed tofu, braised pork, or rice wine.
In the evening, the atmosphere is calm and quiet, with only the sounds of nature and the occasional laughter of local residents filling the air. You can relax in the open courtyard, gaze at the stars, or listen to stories from the residents about the history of the Tulou, its construction, and its role in Hakka society.

The stay was amazing and the room is very clean! It is a worthy experience to stay in nature this way. Don’t worry about the toilet not being in the room. The owners are very welcoming and caring and make delicious food.

Really nice stay. The boss was helpful and I felt like at home. Very interesting to stay in the tulou. Summer can be hot with no air conditioning, but there is a fan in the room.

The place is very clean, location is perfect, people are very nice. The next 2 scenic areas are quite near. I cold stay here for a couple of days. I can point only one thing for improvement - since you let to book on international site, please, at least menu in English!
