Very central location, Ms. Ding and Koui are very nice and welcome. The room is also very clean. Would definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at Central Hotel Nanjing! The staff kindly upgraded our room at no extra charge, and the deposit process was easy and smooth. Housekeeping even made a towel rabbit—such a sweet touch! Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of delicious options: fresh milk, soya, wantons, soup, stir-fried veggies, and more. We couldn’t resist having several bowls of their wantons in just one morning! Special thanks to Ms. ChunHong Dong, the Golden Cedar Bay Manager, who made us feel incredibly welcomed. Knowing we were foreigners, she personally greeted us, checked on our sleep quality, offered late check-out, and even provided a special menu with more familiar options for international guests. Her recommendation of the local Nanjing specialty, Glutinous Rice Ball (resembling YuHuaShi), was so delightful that I ordered it again the next day. The pizza and Nan Jing Duck Fat Puffy Pie was also excellent. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore the city on foot. If I return to Nanjing, I will definitely stay at Central Hotel again. Highly recommended!

Great experience! The location is very close to the famous Deji Plaza and it’s a short taxi away from fun attractions. The manager 小蒋 is super enthusiastic and goes above and beyond. My Chinese is not so good but they helped me with everything from receiving my packages to cleaning my room when asked. I was even offered generously offered upgrades during my stay and the rooms were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend! :)

Similar to previous reviews, staff and service were impeccable. Room decor is definitely dated but genuinely has everything you would need and cleanliness and thoughtfulness made up for it - plus unbeatable price when you factor in location!

Great hotel and very professional staff who take care of all the needs of the guests. The hotel manager came and made sure that we had a nice stay. The location is excellent, in the city centre and the central business district. We enjoyed the clean rooms and the amazing breakfast. We will come back in the future.

I honestly don’t have enough words to explain how good this hotel is. The location is perfect—right in the center of Nanjing, directly opposite Deji Plaza— making it incredibly convenient. What truly sets this hotel apart is the people. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcome. The front desk team was extremely friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to assist with anything I needed. The restaurant staff were equally wonderful. Since I am a foreigner, they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, often bringing me different salads and soups to try, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Room service was excellent, and the amenities were top-notch. My room was spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable. I also have to mention the doormen who helped with our vehicle and luggage. They quickly became so friendly and welcoming, greeting me every time I passed by. I even found myself waving back to them. it was such a small but heartwarming part of my stay. Overall, this hotel exceeded every expectation. The perfect combination of location, service, and comfort. I can’t ask for anything more and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nanjing.

Our stay at The Central Hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and took care of every detail. The room was spacious, with two generously sized single beds that were perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The location couldn’t have been better—just steps from the famous DeJi Plaza and a subway entrance, making it super convenient to explore the city. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras like complimentary water, robes, slippers, and the delightful surprise of glutinous rice balls (a special treat from Jiang Wei) for my daughter, who has quite the sweet tooth! The breakfast buffet was incredible, offering an overwhelming selection of delicious dishes, far more than we could try in one sitting. The on-site restaurants were exceptional, even better than some of the more expensive dining options we’ve tried in Nanjing. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nanjing!

This is not a 5 Star hotel as it is advertised. I would give it 3+ star at most. Rooms are old, with a smell of smoke. Clean, but renovations are very outdated. Breakfast was just OK. A lot of options, but the taste was not the best. There are much better options in town for the same money.
