Central location. Reception is not very helpful even though we spoke mandarin. Porter left our luggage unattended in hotel lobby and reception confirmed he is newbie. You won’t miss their breakfast. Expected more from Accor.

Great location just nearby Xinjiekou metro station.lots of shopping and eateries around. The buffet with oysters just opposite the hotel is a must try. Room are adequate and comfortable.

Very central location. The hotel is a bit old and the shower area has some mould. Overall, it's still a pleasant stay, and I don't mind coming here again due to the location.

Non smoking room also become smoking room. But in china this is what to be expected. Rules not really strictly enforced but location is great.

I booked for 5 nights. When I checked in, they gave me a room that looked completely different from the images. It was very dark and small. Also, the carpet was dirty and had hair on it. After two nights, I checked my booking again and noticed the huge difference. I went to the reception and showed them the photos. They then changed the room. The room I got then was exactly the type I booked. Please take a look at the photos I uploaded here, you will see the enormous difference! I find it extremely inappropriate to give me this TERRIBLE room when I book for 5 (!) nights. They seriously gave me the worst room of the entire hotel and didn’t care at all. Check the photos and judge by yourself! Positive things: the location is great, directly in the city center.

Good location, near a metro station and a few malls. Good food nearby as well. The bed is rock hard and the pillows are too thin. Not a comfortable sleep. Room is big and spacious.

This is my 3rd stayed at Novotel. Location is more than perfect. Metro and Maga shopping malls are just across the street. Foods are plenty within 500m. Room is clean and hygienic. Bed is comfortable. Price is reasonable.Will be back again. Just to share, Previously used to use agoda and have been using for the past 15 years, averagely 5 booking yearly. But this time use Trip.com. Made a booking on 26Oct for 27Oct-4Nov to GZ, and realised made a mistake on the dates. Cancelled by mistake and realised there was a cancellation fees of 13%, amount 700CNY. Agoda claimed that the hotel refused the refund, but the money was collected by agoda instead. They lied repeatedly and pretended to assist to send email to the hotel management and kept pushing the blame to the hotel. I did another booking via trip.com and verified with the hotel. Integrity is an issue. No trust anymore. As such, start using Trip.com. In addition, trip.com give higher rewards.

The procedure is quite slow when Check-in. It takes around 30mins....too long Others are very good.

Very old and bad smell hotel No solutions for the bad smell I tried to use the essential oil to purify the hotel smell but can’t solve At the end can’t really sleep for the whole night The smell all over the pillow the bedsheet..

Hairdryer is faulty and it’s not exactly new. However location and price are my primary factor

Pros: We were upgraded to a better room on arrival. Room was comfortable and soundproofing was good. Hotel is fairly near to the metro station, but the station is so big that even walking from one end of the station to the hotel can be a few thousand steps! The male staff at the front office was very helpful to book the museum tickets for us using his phone account as we did not have a local number. Cons: The hotel was supposed to be a non-smoking one but i believe many guests smoked inside their rooms and the corridors, lifts and lift lobby smelt of cigarette smoke. The hotel ought to be stricter in enforcing the no-smoking rule. For this reason, I would not return to this hotel as it would be subjecting myself to second and third-hand smoke. There is no proper hooks or bars to hang bath towels.

Very convenient location, near the underground metro, lots of department stores & restaurants around. The hotel staff are all very friendly & helpful! Very reasonable price!
