Great stay, the treetop house was super cute and less than 30sec walk to the beach. Make sure you do the Village Walk, 100% worth it!

This is one of the best resorts on the Yasawas for solo travelers; the dorm accommodation is large, clean and allows you to meet new people. There are also lots of activities and the food provided is great.

We had a terrific week at Mantaray Island resort. We stayed in a beachfront villa which certainly helped, since they have air conditioning and a great outdoor bathroom with hot water and flush toilet. The food is not 5 star but it’s pretty good. They do have a tendency to overcook the proteins, especially the fish, but there is a good variety of food and I enjoyed every meal. Breakfast is a buffet of pastries, fruit, cereal and toast but you can order off the menu as well and I believe there were 8 options. The portions are large enough for most people, including me. The best part of the resort is the people. They really enjoy what they do and they enjoy working together. They have a rousing game of volleyball together around 6 pm and you can really tell they like playing together. When they interact with you it is apparent that they aren’t just “doing their jobs” they genuinely care about you and your comfort. We found the songs they sang to us on our departure very moving, there were a few tears shed on both sides. And the best part ………. My crab beat Mili’s in the crab race. We will miss them all. 1–9 May 2025 | 54YO M, 49YO F, Open Water SSI 7th Yasawas Trip – First Time at Mantaray Island Resort We’ve visited the Yasawas several times, but this was our first stay at Mantaray Island Resort—and it won’t be our last! From start to finish, everything was well-organised and ran smoothly. The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly efficient, and the resort itself was tidy and well maintained. Our Beachfront Villa was a highlight—modern, clean, and spacious, with air conditioning (a big plus in the tropics) and a fantastic shower. Housekeeping was attentive and friendly throughout our stay. We also had a peek at the new villas currently being finished—they look stunning and could definitely tempt us back if the pricing is right. The food at Mantaray was a standout—easily the best we’ve had in the Yasawas to date. While not cheap, it was worth every dollar. The à la carte menu offered plenty of mouthwatering choices, and it was often hard to decide between the many delicious options. Presentation and quality were consistently excellent. The walk up to the restaurant is manageable for most but might be a challenge for those with mobility issues. As divers, we were especially impressed by the dive operation. The dive shop is professionally run, with top-quality equipment and a wide selection of 40 dive sites. Despite some windy weather, the team always found safe and scenic spots. We completed 11 dives—and each was unique. The underwater landscapes were spectacular, with vibrant coral gardens, dramatic swim-throughs, and regular turtle sightings. Special mention to Wise, an outstanding dive instructor and guide—knowledgeable, approachable, and a great judge of skill and comfort levels. Tivita kept the logistics running smoothly with good humour and efficiency. All in all, Mantaray Island Resort exceeded our expectations. It’s a well-rounded, beautifully run resort with excellent diving, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’re already thinking about returning—possibly even later this year if we can snag a good deal!

We had 2 amazing nights in the 32 people dorm! The room was clean and because of how it is built, it felt like being in a 4 people dorm. The team was absolutely amazing and made our stay special. We felt so welcomed and made friends with some of the staff. Our personal highlights were our sunset tube cruise and even more our snorkeling tour. We unfortunately did not see any manta rays because it was to early in the year BUT the snorkeling was still AMAZING as we snorkeld over millions of fish and corals. We felt super save with our guide Nico who was the best and also played Uno with us and gifted us bracelets as good bye. We would definetly recommend staying here and hope to come back one day :) Vinaka!
