Zoumis Residence

The best experience I could possibly have for me and my girlfriend! The stuff were all kind and made us feel comfortable enough to enjoy our holidays in Naousa. The heart of Paros! Thank you so much for the hospitality and we will be back very soon!

Nice family run small hotel with pool and bar. Good location to get to the local beach in around a five minute walk. Note sunbeams can be quite expensive at a lot of the beaches in Noussa and other islands. We liked the sunbeams provided by the Cosme hotel at the local beach as the sunbeams were really comfy, they provided real good fluffy beach towels, iced bottled water and a fruit platter as well as full service for other other drinks and food with a quite position on the beach and 60 euros for 2 sunbeams second row. The room was small but comfy and very clean, nice comfy bed, good air conditioning and a small balcony with a view over a garden and then the ocean. The bar was good as was the pool but found the breakfast disappointing, limited choice, so a bowl of yoghurt and some toast with coffee/juice for 20 euros per person felt a bit steep. The orange tasted off and although it was replaced with some fresh juice the original orange was left out and not replaced, small thing but the breakfast could definitely be better, would recommend going onto town for breakfast, lots of choice. The town of Moussa is around a 10 minute walk and is an absolute delight, stunning restaurants and bars, favorite restaurants were Luaz and RADA, both were exceptionally good.

After a long day travelling and a delayed ferry we arrived at 9pm and were promptly and efficiently checked in. Some nibbles and a drink or two were had at the poolside bar. Our room was nice, clean and with a comfortable bed. Plenty of wardrobe storage which is often a problem in hotel rooms. The bathroom was fine, though quite a bit of water leaks out of the shower enclosure particularly if the side jets are used. The private patio area was great for relaxing with seating, loungers and a jacuzzi. Unfortunately the much anticipated barbeque was out of action due to fire regulations but our disappointment was well managed by the hotel manager. The fridge and induction hob still allowed us to do a little self-catering. There are smallish grocery shops nearby and a large supermarket fairly close. The hotel is well located with the centre of Naousa just a few minutes walk away where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. We rented a car and as Paros is not huge, allowed us to visit a number of places within 15 - 30 minutes drive. This included the environmental park to the North West, Parikia town (where the ferry arrives), Lefkes village and Antiparos which has a very short ferry ride from Pounta. All recommended excursions. The pool was good, though no early morning swims as it opens at 10am, following breakfast and a daily pool robot cleaning session. Easy access to sun loungers, particularly as we visited a little before high season. The pool bar serves a range of beer, wine, soft drinks and cocktails which were well made. We had a couple of random issues where the cleaner changed the conditioner in the show for hand soap and body lotion next to the sink with shower gel, but this was easily resolved. Having visited quite a few Greek islands and hotels, we were very pleased with our experience at Zoumis. It's a family business, run well and the staff clearly work very hard and are extremely helpful. We'd be happy to come back - thanks George!

Positives Beautiful chi chi hotel, could easily be transported to a 4 star. Bedroom and bed was large and super comfy and the bathroom was modern and spacious, we stayed overlooking the pool. The pool was a great size and was great to lounge around as were the communal area. Location was perfect for us, next to a winery. Negatives Wish they supplied water in the room The breakfast was a disaster, too many staff behind the counter serving cold bacon and not topping up the food or water once it had been eaten or drunk. The selection was poor (especially for a vegetarian) and you could only fit 2 people in the area at one time. If you wanted a latte or cappuccino you had to pay extra. Sort this out and it would be fabulous.

We were met at the port by one of the members of staff who transferred us to the hotel. ( This had been arranged before we left England) communication with hotel prior to arrival was excellent. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main town centre. There are some steps to navigate along the way - so not for those with mobility issues. The pool area is clean and well tended, always sun beds and umbrellas available. Breakfast is excellent and varied. The breakfast area is very small and narrow and sometimes there is a wait to access the buffet. Drinks and food appear to be available all day and possibly in the evening - we didn’t use. The bedroom was spacious with hanging and shelf space. The bed was super comfortable and large! The bathroom was sufficient - although our rainwater part of the shower did not work - couldn’t shift the button- we reported it but nothing happened! Hot water was an issue sometimes, both in the evening and morning - I’m not a fan of tepid showers! My main issue was the ‘view’ from the terrace outside our room! We thought we’d booked a garden room - the garden turned out to be a view of a white bamboo fence, a few plants, a dripping tap, a broken hosepipe reel and worst of all two dumped mattress type things! Not the ‘garden view’ I expected! Just a bit of thought and tidy up would have enhanced the outlook! The whole staff are friendly and do their best to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as they can. We spent six nights at the hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. Just such a pity that the room was let down by the view, especially when all the other rooms appeared to have views over the pool or if on second floor into the orchard - we were obviously unlucky with the room we were allocated (17). I would have given 5 stars but let down by forementioned.

George and the crew were so welcoming from the start. I had began messaging George before we left the states to do pick up and kept him updated along the way with our ferry being delayed etc. They picked us up from the port and it was a quick drive back to the hotel. George answered all my silly questions, such as why we can’t see the moon during our stay, etc. We felt safe and will recommend this to everyone who comes to Paros
