Grand Hotel Capodimonte

The worst hotel ever! The entry is directly off a main road with a very narrow pavement. Everything is very old, the hotel has probably seen better days in the past but it's now nothing but ancient ruins. The air-conditioning didn't work either. I was booked for 3 nights but I couldn't stay there more than one night before I moved to a better hotel.

La struttura è in una zona di napoli (peraltro molto bella) non lontanissima dal centro ma con i mezzi la sera è molto molto faticosa raggiungerla e anche un po’ isolata. Durante il giorno invece passano molti pullman Se dovete soggiornare qui conviene noleggiare un veicolo. Il personale è molto gentile, professionale disponibile Abbiamo fatto colazione e il servizio è discreto con orari molto buoni (dalle 7 alle 10). La camera con bagno è spaziosa ma la sera disturba un po’ il rumore del passaggio delle macchine ecc La struttura è in linea generale è buona. La pulizia è appena sufficiente

This hotel although having character was definitely not of a 4* standard. The staff are non English speaking and not particularly helpful. There was nowhere to eat other than breakfast which was plentiful if you went early As for the entertainment it did not exist. The location is quite frankly dangerous as there is no pavement and the only access is directly off a busy dual carriageway which we named "death alley". The room was adequate and clean but the safe did not operate , the air con did not work and the shower was broken. There was a constant buzz from a generator which prevented sleeping. None of these issues were resolved in the 8 days despite notifying reception. There is a lack of cafes/restaurants within a reasonable walk and beware the bars and eateries are all closed on a Sunday. There are groups of undesirables hanging around due to the hotel being located in one of the poorest areas of Naples. I would NOT ever stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was out of date 20 years ago No hot water for 3 days Our room was dirty With black mould in the bathroom Black marks up all the walls The room door was a metal security door which didn’t close snuggly so it rattled all night, and it didnt matter anyway because the maid didnt shut the door on one day , and we came back to a open room. There is no bar as such because its closed with the lights off , i think we could have got a drink , but it felt unwelcoming. Tried to complain but it got lost in translation. Avoid Breakfast was woeful i only had coffee and the same raw salmon was put out 3 days running as was the scrambled eggs bacon and sausages This really is a poor quality hotel Easy jet really needs to review thisas it was sold as a 4 star hotel.

This hotel is supposed to be 4 star. It’s 2 at best. It was clean but that’s all. Too far out of town. Breakfast poor, no fresh coffee or orange juice, basic at best. Staff unhelpful. Facilities poor. No tea or coffee in the room. Sheets and towels old. The fact it was so out of town didn’t help. A 20 euro taxi fare back each night. Def would not recommend. Very poor.

Over fall break in October 2023, we were fortunate to stay for four wonderful nights at Grand Hotel Capodimonte. We had planned this trip six months prior and had done research on available hotels in Sorrento, Italy. Upon arrival, we were able to upgrade two rooms to the 11th floor facing the ocean with a balcony. The hotel was as charming as expected but what really made this trip very special was the professional staff, multiple restaurants/food and a pool area with a bar nearby. The food exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed one wonderful night having a special cooked dinner by the chef served by a very attentive waiter who assisted in selecting a fabulous wine from a nearby region. The hotel is only a five minute walk into Sorrento and were able to take advantage of the restaurants, sights, ferry to Capri and a private day drive through the Amalie coast stopping for lunch at Ravello. Anyways getting back to the hotel, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet that provided numerous choices and wonderful views, Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay there again. The hotel never seemed crowded and the staff was very helpful. We never had any room issues and it was very quiet at night.

The staff was excellent, we had no air in our room and no hot water in the shower several times. Otherwise the hotel itself is a beautiful hotel.

A classic building using the excuse of its original style to remain firmly in the dark ages. Spacious but basic room. Staff friendly but limited services available. A limited bar and no restaurant. Breakfast however offered a good continental selection. The location is, quite frankly, abysmal. Hotel is on a busy corner with constant heavy traffic, much of it coming with sirens so assume a hospital is close by. It’s a very, very long walk into town through an undesirable and unattractive area. You step from the hotel entrance onto a narrow road pavement taking your life into your hands with the busy dual carriageway running alongside. We were placed here for two nights with TUI, on this basis, a company we won’t be using again. Clearly a lot of incentive for them to use this hotel for profit but with no consideration for customer satisfaction.

The hotel was far from old town and bay in a run down area on a fast and busy main road and the buses are not regular to a timetable so a lot of walking before you get to places of interest . Also entrance to hotel quite dangerous you have around a foot of path only then the road.
