Grand Hotel Riviera - Cdshotels

We had a good stay at Grand Hotel Riviera. It's a rather big hotel that gets busy during the high season (especially the breakfast was busy). The room we had was quite dark and there was not much daylight coming to the room. . Overall the hotel is nice, not very modern, but some areas are a bit dated. What we liked the most was the patio-area by the sea. You can order food to there and go the sea. This area is very rocky so it is not ideal for the families with small kids. In walking distance, you will find nice restaurants in the nearby villages.

This is without one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The point of difference about this hotel is the excellent customer service from all of the staff. The manager Simone is always present, talking to guests to ensure they are happy. He is a real gentleman. Also special mention to Alessandro on reception. Check is was quick and efficient but importantly everything was explained to us. The hotel is spotless throughout. The cleaning staff work tirelessly. Rooms are cleaned twice a day. Breakfast consists of pastries, fruits, cooked items, fresh breads, cereals and salads. Oh and fresh orange juice which is squeezed in front of you. Dinner is served a la carte and you get a starter, a main course, a second course and desert. You also can have antipasti at the start. Each course consists of either a fish, meat or vegetable dish. The food was excellent and authentic. The hotel has a great swimming pool with a life guard. Also has a terrace on the front overlooking the sea where you can sun bathe. Never had a problem with getting sun beds. The room we stayed in (324) was spacious and had a sea view. Super comfy bed, great shower and toiletries are provided. The hotel has a deal with a local beach at Gallipoli. We paid €22 for 2 beds and a parasol. Fantastic beach and free shuttle to and from the hotel. The hotel offers various excursions. We hired a car from a car rental just 2 mins up the road. I would recommend hiring a car to explore Puglia. Overall a wonderful stay at this fabulous hotel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We will definitely return. Our 3rd consecutive year at Grand Hotel Riviera. Santa Maria al Bagno and Santa Catarina are stunning and the hotel is perfectly located between the 2. We were upgraded to a superior room and a free session in the spa as we were staying 14 nights. Room 402 has a huge balcony with sun loungers and view of the pool. Loved our breakfast view from the hotel restaurant veranda each day towards the beach at Santa Maria al Bagno and Gallipoli in the distance. Lovely big pool.

We have been to this hotel a few times and it is top-rate. They have a lovely spa, a fab pool, and a gorgeous sea view. The room we always choose is out of this world with a terrace that we can stay on all day in the summer. It is really gorgeous with some very cool touches like the Kids Club. Kids can hang out together for a couple hours each day supervised by staff and that makes a world of difference during a family vacation. Top-rate property, with very nice staff. Elegant pool and seaside facilities. Fab spa!

Pros..Hotel is spotless and reception staff are lovely and always happy to help. Our room is spacious, modern and very clean. Pool is good and sunbeds always available, local beach is very busy. Cons… food choice not great and waiting between meals was very bad, we actually left on several occasions before we got final course despite arriving just after restaurant reopened.

This Hotel is just charming, the staff are so friendly and it is in a pretty setting . We went half board and we enjoyed the menu choice. They offer freshly squeezed orange juice every breakfast, a good choice of buffet style . There are restaurants near by too and we found them reasonable. The beach opposite the hotel is rocky ,and the water is deep, but a nice quiet area to sunbath and you can order drinks and food from the hotel. There is a small beach in walking distance but small and busy. The hotel can arrange a shuttle to a beach near by , 10 min car journey and it costs €13 per couple, including sun-beds and umbrella. Beautiful sands and clear water. Really recommend. The area is quiet and you do need a car to see sights. Taxis from airports are expensive , we found driving around Puglia, an adventure. Loved our holiday. Thank you to the hotel for a very enjoyable stay.
