I was expecting something special from our stay…since it is a Margaritaville Resort. We spent our first night in Nashville at the Hyatt, located a couple blocks away. Their staff was very personable, the rooms were high end, they provided the best FREE breakfast I have ever experienced at a hotel, had a great INDOOR pool (important in January), workout room and the room rate was cheaper than Margaritaville. Get your wallet out a Margaritaville. We booked 3 rooms for 3 days. We were told cold Margaritas would be waiting for us at check-in. The concierge pulled out 6 small plastic cups and poured two glasses of margarita mix from a cooler under her desk and said to come back tomorrow for the other 4…she was out. Tacky. We were expecting a nice margarita from one of the on-site bars. The on-site bars are ridiculously expensive. On our 2nd night, our group of 6 was tired of walking so we decided to stay on site to eat and drink. We spent approximately $800 between the 2 bars for chicken wings, pizza and drinks and tips. Fly, in the downstairs bar was either having a bad day or needs a new job. The blonde girl at Fins was great. We went back up to Fins after a couple drinks downstairs, because of Fly’s poor attitude. There’s no free parking in Nashville. Margaritaville charges $54 a day. We found a nearby dirt lot for $20. We were also charged $95 as a “cleaning fee” because we stayed less than a full week. Needless to say, if we ever make a return visit to Nashville, we will not be staying at Margaritaville
