Historic Gem 1840's newly furnished brick house.

This genteel old lady was built in 1842 and she has good bones! The house is in the middle of all that historic Nauvoo has to offer, with the added benefit of being across the street from Dollar General and Casey's pizza. As with most old houses, there is one bathroom which is clean and spacious and on the ground floor. All of the furnishings are new. There is a large and inviting living room with plenty of space to spread out. There are three bedrooms - one very large - that are all tastefully furnished and have new mattresses. The biggest bedroom can hold more sleepers if needed. The smallest bedroom (the 'Toblerone' room) is ideal for our littlest guests with its quirky shape and fort-like possibilities. There is an outside deck where you can watch life go by but perhaps not in the winter. There is a laundry room on the main floor. There are two parking spaces at the back. On a more sentimental note, there are some original Nauvoo temple stones incorporated into the building as door lintels and windowsills. A gentle reminder that there is no smoking, vaping, alcohol or drugs permitted. Please do not bring your pets. Please note that this is an old house.
