Paradise Eco-Hub

Loved this place. Rooms were definitely a bit rustic but you’re on an island and the place is focused on being eco friendly so it’s understandable. They also have a place on the main land to park your car for free during the stay and a private boat (30,000 UGX per direction) which was nice. The food was very good and the views from the restaurant are fantastic over the lake. The whole property is beautifully maintained. The staff were all very friendly. We did a half day lake tour and hike with Tom who is a local and works at the lodge and was a great guide! It’s also nice to know that the lodge is owned by a local Ugandan as many of the lodges are owned by foreign investors. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Book this hotel now. Paradise couldn't be more accurate. We stayed as a party of 11 and didn't want to leave. We stayed in both the open fronted properties overlooking the lake and also one of the family cottages (with a door), and would recommend any depending on how you feel about not having a door! The views are breathtaking, some of the best we have ever experienced. Order dinner in advance for a specific time. Everything was delicious. We took the historical boat tour from the hotel, which was very interesting and worthwhile. We also visited the Supreme Adventure park, which was great fun for adults and children. The staff here were wonderful and SO friendly. We will definitely return to this hotel again when we visit Lake Bunyonyi in the future.

I can see why it’s called PARADISE eco-hub 😍 this location is just stunning and the huts with the river view are a must. The staff are so welcoming and I was so lucky to stay in this slice of paradise. Would highly recommend staying here, along with doing the boat tour around the islands (and also ordering the pancake for breakfast 🤤).

My wife and I stayed in one of the newly constructed Geodomes. It was very spacious and the bed was comfy. Although it isn't completely necessary, it would be nice to have the option of curtains on the windows in front of the shower and toilet that look right out onto the water. Food was excellent, staff went above and beyond, and the views were fantastic. This is an excellent place to come and relax.

The most amazing place. Beautiful setting and a beautiful ethos. Rooms are lovely. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgable and helpful and organise fantastic tours on the lake learning about the fascinating history of the area and seeing the most amazing birds you'll ever see. It's the perfect place to slow down, relax and reflect.

This place has huge potential as it is an absolutely stunning setting. Unfortunately, a few things let it down for us which are easily remedied; • We had to amend the booking to one night instead of two which we did through *********** a few days in advance of our arrival. We arrived and they didn’t have our booking in the system. They did thankfully have a room available for us so after a short wait we were able to check in. • The room itself was basic which is fine, however a lick of paint would do wonders. Also, the mosquito net around the bed wasn’t big enough so couldn’t shut completely on each side so reasonably pointless. • The sheets were clean but had obviously been on the beds for a while as there was some debris on it. • They advised dinner could have a wait so to pre-order. We went at 6pm and just asked for when would be the soonest - we were told 8.30pm! So we asked if we could get some chips while we wait, they said they’d try-none came. But they did have a birthday party they were catering so this was we assume why there was such a delay. The food was tasty when it came though! The island setting is stunning with amazing views over the lake. We hired a dug out canoe and paddled around the island and saw otters and kingfishers. Went swimming in the lake too. Staff were friendly and helped with bags and gave us the info we needed for making our stay a nice one. Would have happily have stayed another night here, due to the setting but would be great to get the rooms to a slightly better standard to get me to return.
