Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast

Whispering pines is our favorite quick escape. We have been going here at least once a year for the last several years. We love it so much we even had our wedding here. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the hot tub is great! Jeanna is a great host and an amazing chef! We are looking forward to our next visit!

We loved our stay at Whispering Pines! We brought our pups, so we stayed in "The Roost," the pet friendly barn. It was great! Quiet, comfortable, and clean. At the house, we gathered with siblings for a yearly reunion. We had the most delicious breakfasts both mornings, and we were glad we also opted to have Jeanna cook dinner for us our first evening. It was wonderful! Our dogs wanted me to add that they appreciated the treats Jeanna made for them, too. We had such a good weekend!

We were greeted very warmly and discovered cookies that made my husbands eyes bug out of his head. When we were shown our room, there was a rose on the pillows. Then the innkeeper told us about the hot tub. Say no more. Even though it was outdoors, it was fantastic. A great way to remember a state that I had never been to. I now have 6 states left to visit. That is also including the AWESOME French Toast for breakfast. This is the ABSOLUTE BEST place we stayed during our trip.

3 of us high school friends loved staying at Whispering Pines B&B. It was very relaxing and peaceful. Accommodations were great. Breakfasts were wonderful and Jeanna was such a warm, wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable hostess and helpful suggesting things to do and take in around Nebraska City. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!!

Great hidden gem. Host was excellent. Private but yet access to hot tub and fire pit if wanted. Very close to arbor lodge. Any questions I had host answered right away. Great location and atmosphere.

This is the second time that I booked a room at Whispering Pines for a writing retreat to work on my second monograph. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts, the upgrade to the rooms, and the outdoor seating areas. Jeanna is a fabulous host who has consistently accommodated my lactose intolerance in the breakfasts. She is also a great conversationalist, who s very knowledgeable about the town, surrounding attractions, and eateries . She has never steered me wrong. The staff is equally helpful and friendly. The B & B is located within walking distance, for the abled bodied, to the Arbor Day Lodge and Park. If one chooses to drive, it is a 5-minute drive at most. If you want to engage in other wellness activities, there is a hot tub on the premises and plenty of space on the property to do yoga and other exercises. I chose to have my 50-ish Birthday Brunch at Whispering Pines. Jeanna and her staff provided a great buffet to serve 30 people. Everyone had a great time and took lots of pictures.
