Villa Hundira

A beautiful, characterful building with a central like courtyard overlooking at stream, lovely views over the lagoon with the added bonus of 2 pools. Vila Hundira is more like staying in a private house than a hotel, the staff were excellent, efficient but also friendly a really lovely introduction to Sri Lankan hospitality. The option to dine anywhere in the hotel at anytime just added to the relax feel of the hotel. We stayed 2nts which worked really well and also allowed me the opportunity to visit the Thimble Workshop which is situated in the grounds of the hotel , Thimble gives employment to young girls from the local fishing village making handicrafts, you can spend time chatting to them whilst being creative yourself. An afternoon well spent and a memory to treasure. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our family of four had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was incredibly spacious, providing more than enough space for everyone to relax and unwind after our adventures. The food was a true highlight – every meal was delicious, and the variety offered something for everyone. A special shoutout to Priya, who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. His warm and attentive service truly made us feel at home. From personalized recommendations to his friendly demeanor, he was a key part of what made our visit so memorable. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect family getaway!

A charming stylishly traditional feel hotel on the Negombo lagoon, full of lovely antiques and colourful local textiles. We had a one night stay here at the end of our holiday as extremely convenient for the airport. Lots of delightful areas to sit and/or dine. The hotel has lovely gardens within the building with two swimming pools and calming pools and waterways interspersed. Dinner was delicious. Cocktails needed a little finessing but staff were helpful. It was a great place to relax for and afternoon at the end of our wonderful trip to Sri Lanka. Our bedroom was spacious and attractive but the bed was a little too hard for me anyway! However we enjoyed our stay here.

Superp hotel. We only there for a night , would have loved to have stayed longer. Very convenient for airport…. Do hear planes in the night though. Our rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and served in a lovely setting. Would love to stay here again

Villa Hundira was the perfect spot for us to start our holiday in Sri Lanka. We stayed with our two small children (aged 5 and 2). The room we had was very large and spacious with plenty of room for the 4 of us. The pool had lovely views and was clean, For the children there was a little toy shed with games/painting/books and the staff kindly showed the kids how to fish in the small stream that passes through the hotel grounds. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. It was a wonderful introduction to our holiday and we highly recommend it.

We stayed here one night after arriving in Colombo -it was only 30 mins drive from the airport which was much appreciated after 2 long flights. The hotel is beautiful with a view out onto the lagoon with lots of areas to sit and read/ eat/ relax and multiple swimming pools. There are so many of these areas that I can't imagine it ever feels busy. In retrospect, we wished we could have stayed another night to fully enjoy the hotel and visit a bit of the surrounding area. They also have a spa but unfortunately for us, it was their therapists day off. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
