The Nature Villa and Cabanas

Perfect start and finish to our sri lanka holiday. We stayed here for 1 night following landing in Sri Lanka and again for half a night before a very early morning departure home. The accommodation was ideal for our needs. Extremely friendly staff, clean basic accommodation and a great little swimming pool (our 6 year old was in it before we had even fully checked in). A good spread for breakfast in the morning. Five minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. I would highly recommend this accommodation and think it's great value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to book again should we return to sri lanka.

Overall this villa is fine for an overnight stay, but it isn’t suited particularly well to my taste and needs. I think I had false expectations when I read positive reviews on other web sites. If you are young and low budget it may suit you, particularly if it is the start of your trip and you have nothing else to compare it with. There’s a pleasant pool and the rooms and complex are clean. The brutalist style concrete rooms, however, are not appealing to me. They feel dingy. The bed is wide, but short and consists of a cheap mattress on a concrete slab. It’s not likely to air well with hot, sweaty bodies in a humid environment. There’s a top sheet, but no light blanket to help couples who sleep at different temperatures. The rooms are basic with no cabinets or hanging hooks. Everything goes on the floor or a small, low concrete ledge. There is a steep set of steps, that are a bit short for mid-size feet, to get to the rooms. Breakfast was poor. Location is quiet. About a 10 minute walk through back lanes to the main street and beach. I can see why some people might like this place, but if you are a bit older you may not have the same enthusiasm.

An amazing place to stay. Sassi is so welcoming and the breakfast was amazing. Large clean rooms helped us feel very comfortable. I will definitely return when I come to visit Sri Lanka again. A wonderfully relaxing place with lots of wildlife around.

Very nice place to be. Staff is very friendly bedrooms are very clean everything it s easy many facilities. A nice garden with swiming pool. We come back sure. Good place to arrive in SRI Lanka not far from airport. They Can organise your transfert. Enjoy this place

We started our travels to Sri Lanka at the lovely Nature Villa Cabanas, spending our 1st 2 days here. The host and his team (Candy) made us feel very welcome. They were so helpful and advised us on the best places to visit while we were in Negombo. The small pool was very inviting and the breakfast prepared by Candy every morning was delicious, making us some traditional breakfast items, such as hoppers, The rooms were very clean and well presented with A/C and mosquitoes nets, I do recommend you use them. We enjoyed The Nature Villa and cabanas on our 1st visit we book for our last days. The host was very flexible, we checked in very early at the start and checked out at 22hrs on our departure date. Great value for money. If I’m ever lucky enough to return to Sri Lanka, I would definitely stay here again.

This little gem ticked all the boxes for us. We received a friendly welcome when we arrived after a long flight. Our host was super accommodating and we were well looked after. We even decided to stay an extra night. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we made good use of the pool. The location was nestled back from the main street making it a quiet retreat, yet the beach, shops, bars and restaurants were only short walk away. Breakfast was available with a generous serving. Would definitely recommend.
