Residence Inn Neptune at Gateway Centre

Needed a hotel for a timely family death (funeral). Clean facility and friendly staff.

Guest services was unprofessional--I asked about an upgrade and she kept repeating cannot guarantee and it does not matter your Titanium Elite Status--it took a long time to get to that status--firepit was broke--pool was not operating--toilet would not stop running--entrance door to room was not functioning correctly--entrance door to enter the Residence Inn outward was not functioning properly (Reported all issues to guest services). Rugs are worn and unsightly--On the Website if states fully renovated--it is not true. In all our stays at Marriott properties this has been the most disappointing.

Amazing front desk customer service. Von at the front desk is amazing. Customer service skills are incredible and always focused on the guest experience!!! Marriott is lucky to have him on the team. His skills should be recognized and celebrated.

I'm not one to write bad reviews but this place deserves it. We stayed here last month for the first time and had a horrible situation with blood stained sheets. After an evening getting drinks and dinner we headed back to the hotel for the night and after showering we discovered only a few inches down from the pillows were blood stains on the sheet. There is no way housekeeping could have missed it. The stains were in a palm sized splatter only inches from where the sheets were folded over. I called the front desk and advised them of what was found and was told by the NA to come down for a new room. We pack up (its now midnight) and head to Room B. Now Room B has a list of issues including a broken bed, the TV dresser in the bedroom was held up with newspapers, it was actually smaller than Room A. It was also dirty. I'm assuming it was room they don't normally rent due to the state it was in. The NA could have cared less about my concern and simply dismissed me when the keys were handed over. When I checked out in the morning the manager asked how the stay was, I explained the sheets, he had ZERO clue about it, and simply just said I'm sorry. I'm loyal to the brand and found the way the whole staffed handled it unacceptable. Do not stay here.

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Location was fine but nothing really within walking distance of hotel. The fitness room was closed which was upsetting because when I searched for Marriott hotels and used the filter for fitness centers, this should NOT come up. I have a big problem choosing this hotel b/c it has a fitness center and then it's under construction.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to do this because we had such a good experience at this hotel and some of the recent negative reviews don’t make sense with that. The staff was really helpful during our stay—polite and accommodating. Thank you to Charles, Latoya, Shannon and the rest of the team. The room was renovated, modern and spotless (and I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties). The breakfast was plentiful and often replenished. Waffles, eggs, muffins, etc. The location was quiet but centrally located. It’s a great place for families or business professionals to stay. Renovations are almost completed, but any work being done did not affect us.

Quiet possibly one of the more disappointing Marriott experiences we have had in years. Hot water non-existent. Insect droppings in drawers. Front desk staff continuously occupied with their cell phones. Breakfast foods not replenished. Scheduled for an refresh but until that happens, stay away.

We stayed for an overnight on August 11, 2023. Barbara Barasova was extremely courteous, professional and welcoming. She upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite, as we were a party of four. The room was clean, well-appointed and the kitchen was well stocked. Latoya at the front desk immediately and efficiently responded to our requests. The breakfast was excellent, and the dining are was spacious and clean. A special thank you to Barbara and Latoya for going the extra mile to make our stay so great. Looking forward to visiting again!

Nice location, but the floors are paper thin. Those a floor above can be heard walking and dragging furniture, waking you up in the night if they arrive late. This is horrible and should not occur for a property. This should have been built better in order to decrease noise between floors.
