Resort Mark Brandenburg

We stayed at this hotel with the salt water sunday package to relax at the Fontane Therme. Overall it was a nice experience: the service could be improved, some of the staff couldn't speak English and one of the receptionsts wasn't very friendly. The room was ok, furniture is quite old but it was clean and, since we were just sleeping there, we didn't mind. Buffet dinner and breakfast were good, the overall quality could have been better though. Beware if you are vegan there are very limited options. The thermal baths were very nice, few pools and saunas in the complex to choose from and very clean. Good value for money.

The hotel location is absolutely incredible. The food also exceeded expectations. Unfortunately in our room, the shower leaked and as a result we were almost hurt due to the water that had congregated on the floor just outside the shower. I mentioned this to the reception staff but didn't even get an apology. Left me with a slight bitter taste.

Stayed here for one night due to a work trip. This hotel is so beautiful, classy and so welcoming!! Everything was so clean and the breakfast tasty. The view of the lake was breathtaking although it was raining on the day we arrived. Champanhe at the check-in was also a very nice touch.

The spa was really lovely, especially the "floating sauna," which looks over the beautiful lake. Everything was clean and beautiful. The lounging areas are incredibly comfortable and soothing--many areas to relax, read, or sleep when need to take a break from the saunas. I would caution against this place if you don't speak German. We could not figure out the expectations for etiquette, how to get towels, how to use the lockers, etc. There was no signage in other languages, you couldn't use your phone to translate (no phones allowed) and no one spoke English. The man in the bistro yelled at us for not wearing shoes and not knowing how the buffet worked (I think!), but we didn't understand how to get the meal we had paid for or what we were doing wrong. This is my own fault, I know, for not speaking the language, but I still felt a little stupid, embarrassed, and unwelcome.

The resort is not equipped to give you a value for money if you’re a first timer at a sauna/thermal bath and don’t know the etiquette or how to get the maximum experience. They are also not English friendly, you can not translate any signs because of course phone are not allowed
