A small campsite set in the village of Laroles 18494 in the sierra Nevada.. Wanting mountain walks and rural calm, we arrived at this site for one night and stayed 3! Small and friendly the camper van spaces are larger than most others we have been on. The owner is extremely helpful and you feel welcome straight away. Lovely hot showers, facilities dated but good. What is outstanding are the walks from the campsite itself , we completed two 9/10km walks during our stay. one past the 500year old olive trees ( 5-6 feet wide) and waterfalls, up hill and down dale but so beautiful as valleys stretch out before you and theres a different view at every turn. We have two dogs and the walks were great because we went over streams and by waterfalls where the dogs got fresh water on a regular basis. Although mid November and the site pretty empty, it was 23 degrees each day and the breeze was really comfortable. The icing on the cake here are the restaurants. One in the local village 300m from the site enabled us to have that very welcome cold beer when we arrived back and really excellent food, all with a smile. The second walk was to a neighbouring village, 4.5km away and back with lunch midway. We are not hardened walkers but found the walks immensely enjoyable, challenging at times too, I believe they are classed as medium difficulty. Picnic spots were also along the way. I truly enjoyed every moment here. What a gem and at 18e a night wifi and electric inc It was a bargain. Highly recommend.

We loved this place. It is small and quiet. All the stuff I read in other reviews before visiting was borne out. Very clean. Lots of hot water. Amazing views of the mountains and ocean from the restaurant. The owner Tino could not have been any more helpful and hospitable, even messaging us at night to check we were okay when there was a deluge. We sadly had to bail early when one of our tents started identifying as a swimming pool. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Bar Montesinos was good but quiet until 9pm at the earliest (we thought it must be winding down then all the locals arrived at about 9:30pm). The local supermarket in Laroles was well stocked too.

We have been on this site for four nights and they have been really good. OK the site is “rustic” but shouldn’t it be so high up in the Sierra Nevada. It is on the only main road over this fantastic mountain range. Yes the facilities are dated but everything is very clean and gushings of hot water. Wyfi.......excellent and owner welcomed us with a free app that gave us so much information about the site and the surrounding area. His welcome was first class also. The views are outstanding and the village, Laroles, just below the site has everything you could need including 2 very good restaurant bars and a petrol station (A rare thing in the mountains) The only problem we have encountered was getting in to the site. The top entrance doesn’t look too appealing and fairly narrow and winding down to reception. We have a 5 meter caravan towed by a 4x4 and this was probably one of the most difficult sites I have got into. Some 500 meters down the road towards the village is another wide entrance road but this has a right angle bend which also can be difficult. Don’t let this put you off because the site owner was very helpful, just ring him. We will definitely return to this lovely site in this corner of La Alpujarras. A great area topped with a good camping site.

We stayed here for 5 nights last week, had only booked in for 2 but were so happy we stayed an extra 3 nights. Toilets , showers and washing up areas are all very clean with loads of hot water. The restuarant and swimming pool were closed as off season but the owners showed us around the restuarant which has phenonimal views and We are sure will serve good food when open from Easter. The owners Julie and her husband were really friendly, helpful and attentive and both speak good English. There are great scenic waymarked walks around Laroles (one starts just outside the campsite entrance) We will definately be back.

Avec environ 25 à 30 emplacements et 5 petits chalets, ce camping niché au cœur de la Sierra Nevada est vraiment au top. Tino, le gérant, est adorable, et parle très bien anglais. Même plein, le camping reste calme. Bar, resto avec vue, piscine… départ de randos à pied, vtt ou moto (section 20 du TÊT pour le offroad). Sanitaires propres, eau chaude, internet gratuit… emplacement à 16€/nuit sans elec. Nous sommes venus ici pour les balades moto route et offroad, nous avons adoré.

Increíble trato por parte de los propietarios, nos sentimos como en Casa y nos ayudaron con un problemilla que tuvimos !con nuestro coche, encanto de gente y paraíso maravilloso, amenazamos con volver, mil gracias por hacernos pasar unos días inolvidables

El camping es maravilloso, lugar para descansar y desconectar en familia sin duda, cien por cien recomendable además la calidad precio es inmejorable, la zona de piscina y restaurante de diez las duchas y servicios siempre limpios, genial pero sobre todo me quedo con la atención del personal es especial un diez. Volveremos sin dudarlo.

Fue una experiencia maravillosa y Tino es un anfitrión excepcional, pendiente en todo momento de que nos sintamos lo más cómodo posible. Mis hijos han salido encantados con la piscina, la cama elástica, el futbolín y sobre todo con sus perros, en especial mi hija qué les tiene pánico. Muchas gracias por todo, Tino, te recomendaremos seguro y volveremos a hacerte una visita. Un abrazo de toda la familia.

Un paraíso, da igual la estación del año o el alojamiento que elijas. Las cabañas un 10, las jaimas un 10, el nuevo domo un súper 10 y una pasada!! Con todas las facilidades y comodidades de una experiencia rural encantadora en todos los sentidos. Aunq el mejor 10 siempre es para esa familia tan incondicional que gestiona el camping, sin ellos no sería lo mismo, son tan serviciales y agradables que nos sentimos siempre como en casa, imposible que alguien piense lo contrario! Viajamos con nuestros 2 peques (ahora de 5 y 7 años) y disfrutan más aún que nosotros. No podéis iros sin probar las pizzas de Tino! Deseando ya volver y probar la acampada :)
