The hotel must have been really great but now the rooms are very tired looking, very old wallpaper with marks and old screw hole. Paintwork yellowed and dirty in places, The bathroom is outdated with dripping tap, windows dirty and curtains not fitting very well. The food is average. The positive is the very friendly staff and its location.

The menu at Tyrell’s Ford is always full Of incredible dishes; the choice is wide and the food is always fantastic; fresh, home-cooked and so good. Choice of reql ales is always excellent and the staff and proprietors are always so welcoming. Love this place, we cost whenever we are in the area…and will Keep coming back!

Stayed here for two nights recently, the place needs a complete overhaul and updating, windows in bedrooms filthy, bathroom taps dripping, shower over bath almost non functional, curtains do not fit . Absolutely depressing state and needs investment inside and out ! Would I stay here again? …Definitely not!

Such great food snd very reasonable. Great service too. Lovely warm bar. One of my friends had the vegetable curry and said it was the best he'd ever tasted. All our meals were good. And beautifully presented. We'll be back! Hadn't visited for about 3 years.

Our food was absolutely appalling. Couldn't eat it. And despite bringing it to the Managers attention, we barely got a 'sorry'. Terrible customer service. Definitely won't be returning. Very disappointed.

This delightful country mansion is full of old world charm, inside and out. The grounds are magnificent and the atmosphere and ambiance very relaxing. The restaurant serves varied and well cooked dishes and the bar area is like a pub which offers a very enjoyable and unique experience. It’s a place to go to again and again.

This Inn is a charming and friendly establishment very well situated for exploring the new forest. Original wood paneling in bar and dining room provide a lovely backdrop for the excellent local ales and ciders and delicious pub grub. I had the pie of the day served with mash and vegetables. I thought it was very good value at £15. Service is warm friendly and very efficient. Bedrooms are dated but well equipped and ours had a balcony and beautiful view over gardens. Plenty of choice for breakfast and again very efficient friendly service in spite of the hotel being busy. If you need to be connected - the WiFi isn’t very strong but is fine for checking email. We greatly enjoyed our visit and look forward to coming back.

Really quiet , popped in for a lunch with my wife . Uninteresting menu but we made do. Older gentleman with his wife complained about his beer , landlord said it was obviously not to his taste ..and nothing wrong . His wife finished her drink and they both left . What happened to customer relations ? Lunch was OK but we're used to the food at the Three Tuns in Bransgore . Lacklustre and drab , needs a refurb to bring it back to life . No wonder it's up for sale ..

I don’t normally post reviews but we have just had such an amazing roast lunch I had to say something about it! I had roast lamb and my husband had roast pork , lots of meat, roast potatoes and gravy. The meat and veg were perfectly cooked and the cauliflower cheese was delicious . I didn’t have room for dessert but my husband had apple strudel which was full of fruit wrapped in crisp filo pastry. Sarah and Mark are lovely hosts and the hotel has a very homely relaxed feel to it. I would definitely recommend.
