Rose Farm Inn

We’ve been coming to the ROSE FARM INN for decades now, and there’s a reason why! Over the years Judith and Diana have always been welcoming and accommodating to our needs and requests. The Inn is located in the most magical, setting with Meadows surrounding your own private deck and views of the ocean. The rooms are cozy and large, and the Inn itself is a quick walk into town If somdesired. We especially appreciated a couple days ago when we left the Island that we were allowed to stay and use our room till our Ferry came because of the inclement weather and the fact that it was the end of the season and we couldn’t get out to the last ferry. It’s that kind of thoughtful care that they give their guests that always impresses. ❤️

Required hotel room with 2 beds. 13 minute walk uphill from ferry. 5 minute drive. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms, private bath, comfortable pillows. Each room had a small fridge. Large TVs. Room 20 is upstairs with queen & a Twin. Room 4 has two queens. Rooms could use more hooks for drying and bath towels (only 2). Bring a drying rack! Beach towels are available free in the reservation department. Continental Breakfast served 8am-10:30am . Wish breakfast and real coffee was served earlier ! Instant Coffee and tea service in the lobby of main building. Bike rental on site close at 8pm. $45 for a full day rental. Fire pit in the field & lounge chairs on the back deck. Hotel is Nextdoor to Springhouse with full service bar/restaurant.

This was our first visit to Block Island and we found the rose farm inn exceptional. It has a down-to-earth, cottage vibe mixed with comfort and beautiful scenery. The innkeepers were incredibly friendly and helpful. The farm and view were beautiful and within walking distance of spring House restaurant which we frequented often. It was easily within walking distance of downtown as well. The room and bed were comfortable and we really enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. I felt so lucky to have found this place on her first try coming to Block Island! I highly recommend it.

This is a surprise of a Block Island stay because it's so reasonably priced for our in-season visit, the location near the ocean is superb and the rooms while small, are quite cozy, exceptionally clean and depending on what side you're on afford you smashing views of the nearby Spring House and ocean beyond or the magnificent green meadows and mediation fire pit in the middle, just glorious views no matter where you stay. One exceptional component of a large second building near the office and those rooms: A gorgeous 180-degree deck with stunning views of the meadows and sprawling hills beyond on one side, andocean views on the other. Cannot go wrong no matter where you look. The staff here is very friendly, courteous, helpful; it's a family operation, from what I gather, and that's always a plus. And this one in particular hails from Peru, but their English-speaking skills are terrific, and WAY better than my practically negligible Spanish! We've stayed here before and will again, it's an easy if not hilly walk from the ferry but ample cabs are nearby and affordable if you've lots of stuff to carry. Block Island is one of our favorite places on Earth, and the Rose Farm Inn our favorite to stay!

My wife and I have been visiting Block Island for 48 years. For much of that time, we stayed at a family home, but now we prefer to have our own place for health reasons. While searching for accommodations this year, we discovered Rose Farm Inn, a place we had never encountered before since we hadn’t driven down the driveway leading to it. What a fantastic find! The property is beautiful both inside and out, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Diana, Andres, Jamie, and the entire team could not have been kinder. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, with attentive assistance from a young lady from Croatia and a young man from the Dominican Republic. Our family enjoyed spending some time with us there as well between the beach etc,, Thank you all for making our stay such a wonderful experience!

Third or fourth visit to this property. Great location, friendly and trustworthy staff managed by Diana (the best), and super-well furnished rooms, all cleaner than home! Onsite bike shop and rentals are convenient, as are beach towels for guest use.
