Bed is clean，location is awesome. But the attitude of the reception staff is sucks. They dont greet customer and dont even know how to smile. The lobby is very chaotic like flea market.

Breakfast are expensive there, buffet for USD 47

Managed to arrive early and allowed early check-in at 1pm plus instead of 4pm. The caucasian woman stationed at the check-in counter was not the most friendly person. I passed her my credit card and was waiting for her to instruct me to sign for receipt. After a long pause, i realized i have to do something with the machine, and asked her where do i click for the machine. She did not respond kindly. I understand not every American has travelled widely and tends to provide poorer quality services as compared internationally. Hereby pointing this out, as a matter of fact, the hotel need to understand not every country use the same brand of credit card machine/POS as the Americans. The hotel staff should not expect foreign guests to know how the machine or hotel works. Also, there is no instruction on the machine ‘Please sign here’. The staff should at least provide a verbal instruction for signature on the machine. If the staff cannot be bothered with providing verbal instructions, please paste a visual aid on the machine at the minimum. Thankfully, the asian guy during check out was much friendlier and tried to start a conversation, but i was having a cold so i tried to minimise interaction. The interiors were old fashioned like in 90s. Fortunately, the room was clean and lit with multiple lamps around the room. As with most reviews, I was charged twice on my credit card on first day and last day each. Asking for a refund through my card service now as unauthorised charge was made on the last day and it wasn’t even on the receipt/expense report. I would gladly just pay for everything on my Day one, instead of going through such trouble. No receipt for deposit or cancellation, unlike other hotels i have been to. Service and amenities are average. No slippers available in the room. Locker for valuables provided. Own coffee machine provided in-room, but don’t set high expectations as it’s not Nespresso. There is no in-room dining menu for reference, even if i want to get. 30$USD destination fee per night is compulsory but exchangeable for 2hr bike rental in central park for two pax or food in the hotel. It feels like the hotel wants to charge you extra but don’t want to provide the service paid. I didn’t bother to purchase food from hotel as the reviews were average. Recommend to visit Los Tacos No. 1 & Broad Nosh Bagels a few blocks away for breakfast and lunch. The best point and only positive point is the hotel location. Just behind MoMA and near proximity landmarks such as Rockefeller Centre, and two streets away from 5th Avenue and Central Park. Only stayed here for convenience as a friend was also staying in the same hotel for business needs.

Old hotel but in very nice location. Few mins walk to Times Square

The hotel had overcharged me $150. When I first checked in in the hotel, they changed $150 for upgrade. This is ok They also retained us $150 as deposit. The hotel advised us that the hotel wouldl issue us two free tickets for city tour. Also, the hotel advised us we would have $150 credit while shopping or eating in the hotel. When we checked out, we found the hotel did not gave the credit to us and took away our deposit. We had to spend 30 minutes to explain and to wait for the staff processing. Finally. The staff corrected the mistake and printed a new invoice to us. However, I found the hotel still kept changing that $150. I just returned from a international trip and am wondering how to communicate with you. Bad experience!

The hotel doesn’t provide toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers & hot water pot. We called the room keeper for 3 times and the toothbrush was finally delivered to us the next day. This was really a bad experience, we definetly would not recommend this hotel to tourists, it does not worth the price.

The hotel is very old. The rooms are tiny. The view is ok but you cannot enjoy it because of very dirty Windows. The stuff is nice and helpful. Breakfasts are so so - not a lot of variety.
