Hotel Edison Times Square recensioner

The employees here at the Edison are not up to speed with customer service. I get better respect from the public on the street all the way from upper to lower Manhattan than I do from the people here that work at the Edison especially the front desk. They are so to react when you have a problem such as no batteries in the remote to changing the towels since we're staying more than one night. The rooms are a 12x12 room with a coin bed which pretty much is a joke and I will get better service, cleanliness and customer service at probably half the price at a place like the pods here in times square.

I am from Singapore. Edison is very expensive . Hotel is only good for location . they work like a business man everything has to pay. Even luggage to be rested in hotel lobby for 2 t hours after check out need US$1 per piece. Complimentary breakfast was disappointed. Probably I mid read I thought it was sit in with hotel spread of buffet breakfast but it was not. They asked you to pay another US$5 to give you a take away crossaint n coffee n a fruit and not sit in. Will not reccomend for this hotel as I paid extra in the price with complimentary 2 breakfast and realised that I still have to pay another US $5 . Only the card key is pretty Incurred an Additional taxes of US$81

Convenient location, just a little noisy

You book with Trip and when you get there, you are charged an extra $35 per day for service. Valet parking is only available until 12am. The included breakfast is a grab and go, if you want to sit down you have to pay extra. The room was tiny, barely enough room to walk around the bed.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. They treat you with no respect. Refused to give us breakfast tickets, has us wait in queue 3 times. Bag service wouldn't let us check in bags. Waited in line for 2 hours, self check in doesn't give you breakfast tickets. Don't stay here.

The hotel is good and the location is fabulous. Maybe that makes the staff not care about customers as they know people are going to bring business to that location anyway. I think the staff needs to understand that they do not need to be so inhospitable and unwelcoming in nature. They do not even look up to you even if you are waiting there for 2-3 hours. I reached 2 hours early and opted to sit in the lobby when it was 3:05 pm I asked for the room as I checked in earlier the host said please wait there and showed me her hand briefly pointing straight. Now she is extremely busy and wants me to understand that she asked me to stand by pointing straight. Not understanding her hand gesture, I returned to sit and at 3:20 I went to her again (mind you she is very busy doesn’t even look at you even if you are waiting right in front of her). This time she said oh you did not stand so my colleague did not help you. Although was sitting just in-front of the desk. That’s when I lost it as I was hungry , tired and exhausted and said “I might faint now I cannot keep waiting for you honestly”. That’s when she handed me a key immediately. My question is, if she can give a key why so much hassle to someone who checked in 2 hours prior? What is this sadistic pleasure? Anyway guys you can go there just expect the staff to have a “I don’t care” attitude. The staff thinks that the money we spent for their room is something they are entitled for. The room was small but clean, which was my priority.

Was a lovely hotel with beautiful pieces of.art in the lobby, in an excellent location. It was easy to get to from JFK Airport by public transport or taxi. There was a live music bar and a couple of restaurants amd the staff were friendly.

Very Good Location

We came to the city for the first time in almost 20 years to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We had tickets to almost famous and wanted to have a very special weekend together. The woman at the front desk was so sweet and kind and offered us congratulations and gave us an upgrade for free to a king suite from regular king room. It was a beautiful spacious room, well decorated with a comfortable sofa and big screen, TVs, extra towels, and everything one could want. The staff was helpful and accommodating and recommended a great spot for dinner. Breakfast to go was perfect in the morning. Complete with coffee and lots of smiles. We can’t wait to come back again and have recommended it already to friends. We especially love the art deco style that was evident everywhere. Thank you for making our anniversary extra special!! Very good location. Just in the time square, very convenient. The cleaning staffs are very nice. But the facility is a bit old, and the shower and sink is not good enough for the price.

Great location. Right in middle of Manhattan and easy to access to subway or other transportation. Very close to Broadway and Time Square. Only down side is the washroom is a bit noisy (water noisy running whole night) and air conditioning is old and noisy as well.

Excellent location, right next to the time square. The hotel room is not the best as the interior looks outdated. Not much natural lights. One of the beds seem broken. The bathroom is nice than the room itself. Breakfast is ok.

Very good location. It’s close to time square, 2 mins by walking. Not bad

The facility is clean , the service is professional, the location is great which is close to Times Square and convenient for commuters to walk to dining and attractions. I would recommend to anyone coming to town. The rooms are small and lack a refrigerator and microwave if you wanted to keep things chilled or warm up anything .
