Paramount Hotel Times Square

Clean room, a little more spacious than usual for NYC. Friendly staff a little street noise. You have to hold your key against this sensor for several seconds for it to work. A notice stating this in the list would save having to ask reception.

This is my second time staying at the Paramount! My go to hotel when I have an audition in Midtown because of the location and price for the area. The rooms are large for a Manhattan hotel room which surely would be a huge plus if you’re more than a solo traveler. Staff is friendly and bag check very smooth. Close to both 42nd St & 50th St stations, would recommend :)

The location was amazing. The lobby was so fun and trendy. The rooms are typical NYC size (small) thats what any traveler should expect in NYC. The bed was super comfy. The AC worked great. I absolutely loved it and will try book there again when I return. The staff was friendly. The cappuccino was perfect and the staff there also super friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in Times Square area.

Facilities were pretty great, front lobby/ reception is just beautiful, sometimes it offers live music at nights

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Times Square is just a few minutes away, so you are right in the middle of Manhattan. The room, however, was extremely small. You can fit a suitcase in the room, but once you open it, there is barely any space left to move around. The room felt quite worn and not very well maintained. There was dust on the shelves, the bath towel had visible stains, and one of the outlets next to the bed did not work. The window faced a wall and other windows just a few metres away, so I had to keep the curtains closed most of the time for privacy. The room was also very noisy. One night there was construction outside, and another night there was a constant loud hum from the air-conditioning or ventilation equipment, which made it hard to sleep. The elevators were slow and often crowded, so getting between the lobby and the room could take a while. Also, luggage storage is not free: $2 per item before check-in and $3 per item after check-out, cash only. Overall, I would not choose this hotel for comfort, quiet, or a relaxing stay. It is more of a practical option if you want to stay in a very central location and mainly need a place to sleep. You are really paying for the location rather than the hotel experience itself.

Was a lovely hotel, great location! Only downside is that we had a little bit of mold on our pillows.

Loved the location, very clean and happy with the staff when our first room shower wasn’t working, they swapped room at 1am after coming back from time square

The hotel is in a great location - right next to Times Square. The lobby is stylish and boujee but the rooms are small and basic. However, they have everything you need for a city break. Be aware that the hotel charges $3 per item in their luggage storage room which is outrageous. The view from our room at 5am was a brilliant sunrise view!!

I won’t be booking this hotel ever again. The quality is poorer than some countryside motels. The aircon is rattling and sounds more like a motor generator. It is so loud it’s akin to noise pollution and torture. Getting any quality sleep is impossible even with ear plugs (listen to the video clip) as the aircon is right next to my bed where my head is. I tried to change rooms, but they were full. I tried to change hotels, but unfortunately the neighbouring ones were also full. Hygiene is very bad - the shower doesn’t fully drain. For both the aircon and drainage problems, they said they would send and engineer to take a look and try to fix the issues, but during my stay I don’t believe anything was done.  Don’t stay in this hotel if you have a choice.
