Nothing to complain at all. Everything that you would seek from a hotel, you name it and they have it. The room space, the patio, the facilities, the services, the staff, the overall infrastructure. Just one challenge: We left one shirt behind. Nobody reached out from their Lost&Found team. Didn't get any response too even after multiple calls/follow-ups.

Horrible front desk. Rude. Disinterested Unaccommodating. You chose hospitality - be kind, attentive or helpful. Otherwise choose a different vocation. Titanium Marriott members treated horrendously. And not once twice but three times from a terrible staff.

If you are looking for peace and quiet or to rest after a busy day, this is not the hotel for you. They neglect to tell you that there is a band playing until ten o’clock at night, and even with the balcony doors closed, you can still hear the music as if you are listening to the radio in your car. I was unable to move to a different room as the hotel was sold out (lacrosse tournament in the area). We have to be out early tomorrow morning so were hoping to get to bed early, but that’s not happening. I was a big fan of the Marriott brand but would never recommend this hotel! Find another place to stay when in the UDEL area!

A nice spot on the U of Delaware campus, well landscaped and designed. We didn't have the AC problems others below have reported. The front desk when we called and checked in was laughably rude (which at least made those interactions fast, as I got hung up on during the first and had my credit card and ID pretty much thrown at me at the end of the second); at breakfast the next morning the service was comparably inefficient. But we'd eagerly stay there again if we could--indeed, we tried to on our way back, but they were sold out, as seems to happen in association with university events. Temporary note for early September 2022: coming up from the south, the construction and related traffic late at night in the few miles between the highway and the hotel were irritating and even a little scary--allow some time and attention for that.

I just spent the night at this property on the UD campus. It was very reasonable to book with my Marriott points. I was on the 4th floor and did not experience any AC problems. The room is a generous size, clean, and comfortable. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and travel and I think this is one of the nicer Marriott properties I have stayed in recently. I just learned that this property is run by UD students as part of the hospitality program. I did not know that. I would stay here again without hesitation because I love the size of the room and the lovely balcony. The bathroom is also large and the room setup is great. I think the pool is closed, but I did not stay long enough to investigate that.

It pains me to write this review. I had believed the reviewers before me and expected a 4.5 star experience. Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. It’s never a good sign when the clerk warns you at check-in not to take a high floor because the air-conditioning doesn’t work well up there. She was being generous… Air-conditioning barely works anywhere. the The room was very worn out. Shower looked grimy. Furniture was dingy. Terrible lighting. Sheets were clean and no bed-bugs so we survived.

I unfortunately paid over $200 a night for this room because there is a girls Lacrosse tournament happening nearby and they are booked this weekend. The air conditioning in the lobby and hallways of the hotel is not working right and it’s hot and muggy, but they won’t fix that because they “can’t” fix it when they are booked apparently. The bistro is closed on weekends and there is no room service, although this is a typical amenity I have come to expect from Marriott. Half of my trip is on a weekend, so I get no breakfast other than a crappy granola bar. The view from my room is a rooftop. I requested a 4th floor room, but they couldn’t do that either, so I got a 3rd floor room. The employees are polite and accommodating but shame on you Marriott for ripping people off by charging insane rates and zero amenities including a broken air conditioner.

I like staying in Marriott hotels because they are usually clean and they pay attention to details. The cost of the room is higher, but I found that it was worth it. I stayed at this Marriott two years ago and had an exceptional experience as I expected. This trip was disappointing. The front desk and cleaning employees were wonderful and pleasant. They were warm and welcoming. The management could use some pointers about the hospitality industry. Details were missing like the previous guest left a dirty coffee cup on the table in my room making me think what else wasn’t clean. There were a few details that set the Marriott apart from the other hotel chains and it was lacking this visit. The cold bottle of water upon arrival used to be a nice touch after traveling all day. It cost the hotel less than $1, but it is a nice detail to let a guest know they aren’t checking into a low budget hotel. I had to sign a form that basically said I wasn’t going to trash the place. They charged me $75 at the onset for my registered service animal for the night. I understand they may have guests that come there and destroy the place. I have stayed there before and they had no trouble with me. I would have liked to be given that courtesy. Like I said, the employees were welcoming. The details were not there this time for the money.
