Punderson Manor Lodge and Conference Center

We had my daughter-in-law’s baby shower here over the weekend. Everything was wonderful. We had the pancake breakfast buffet with the real Geauga maple syrup, sausage, eggs, fruit, hash browns and everything tasted delicious. Meghan and Kate were a pleasure to work with and the servers were polite and kept the buffet stocked and did a great job with clearing the plates and refilling the mimosa bar. I highly recommend having your next event here.

I thought I was going to be impressed and have a great time here this grand old manor. What a disappointing experience. Truly disappointed, disgusted and upset at how dirty the rooms were, the indoor pool was nasty, and no excuse for the lack of hospitality to the paying guests. 1. There were spider webs and debris on all the windows and window sills, the bathroom was super dirty, mildewy and grime all over the bathtub. 2. The trash bin in the restroom was rusted and old, by a new teash bin at the dollar store. BLOND hair was everywhere in the tub and sink aka im.a brunette. 3. I was trying to justify the state of this manor but came to a conclusion that would not allow me to justify the nastiness and filth of this manor. 4. The indoor swimming pool was nasty, cloudy and tons of debris floating in the water. The added a ton of chlorine to cover up the stench and filth. 5. There wasn't any clean towels ??? How do you not have clean towels in a hotel really ?? When I asked the front desk clerk for some clean fresh towels, this woman seemed upset that I asked for them LOL 6. The staff behaved like they never have seen minorities before, minorities who paid $300 per room plus a rented cabin for 1 night. 3 rooms plus a frickin cabin OMG. 7. Weird vibe, dirty place and for what we spent for 1 night, we could have stayed in a very upscale clean modern Hotel with great hospitality. 8. Conclusion: I prefer a clean and sanitary environment but most importantly a hospitable environment. Yours Truly Disappointed and Disgusted.

We were just at this one over night. Stayed here on the way to a high school class reunion. We like to support the state park lodges, but the pricing was high for what we got. Overall a very nice stay.
