Great receptionist who was very welcoming and friendly. Good location for access to the A500 and A34 roads as well as a bus stop only a 5 minute walk away. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is very dated and lack on soundproofing between the rooms is a major issue. I could hear the guy in the room below talking and could also hear the room next door opening and closing their toilet seat! I was awoken at 1am with an inconsiderate neighbour with their tv on very loud and coughing loudly. There is a main wing and smaller wing to the side. I stayed on the 1st floor in the main wing but I would recommend you ask for the 1st floor in the small wing to minimise the number of people around you and source of external noise.
View from the room was nice however.

Excellent place to stay, clean comfortable room, quiet, ideal location close to shops, takeaways, supplying good food. The staff at Travel lodge were all polite and helpfull, but a special mention for Andrea who went above and beyond to make are stay one of the best we have had, she was most helpfull and informative about loacl places to shop or eat, my partner and i can not thank her enough for all her help. Sad to be leaving this Travel lodge. Thank you to all staff and another special thank you to Andrea for all her help during our 2 week stay. Sue Dave

Yet another great stay at this hotel, rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable, the staff were so welcoming and friendly as always only thing I can say that’s a slight negative is the place could do with a bit of modernising but other than that a great stay I shall return again 😊

We stayed overnight to work around early flight from manchester. Staff were kind and helpful and rooms were spotless, would recommend highly! There is also a Greggs/ Subway over the road so grabbing a bite to eat before we set off for Manchester was not an issue either.

A special mention to Andrea on reception, she helped organise a taxi for me, very friendly manner with every customer attending the travelodge, The room was clean and adequate,and local to a music event I attended. Check in and out was quick, free parking, and very close to major road networks.

Very friendly staff the room was very clean , beds very comfortable, very pleasant stay , although we were only staying a short time before travelling to Manchester airport and we were leaving at 2am ….. The lovely receptionist called Kirsty was very helpful & polite . Always nice to see staff with a friendly smile :) x Would definitely stay again . X
