We just returned from a fantastic anniversary weekend at the Almondy Inn. The inn was the perfect place to stay. Cozy, clean, and decorated for Christmas. The daily multi course breakfast and wine and cheese hour made us feel right at home. We really enjoyed spending time with the other guests and chatting with the Inn Keepers. A beautiful home away from home in Newport.

Breakfast tasty and fresh. John and Laurence wonderful hosts and made our stay extra special while we celebrated my husband’s 65th bday. Fond memories made and we plan on going back. We had 60 degree days and enjoyed visiting with the other guests.

My husband and I just went on an overnight trip to Newport. We love staying at B&Bs and just happened to find the Almondy Inn on Google. We had the most wonderful time and staying there was the highlight of our trip. John and Laurence truly create such a wonderful environment. John was so friendly and hospitable and made us feel so welcome. They do happy hour with wine and cheese at 5pm and John set it up a few minutes early for us since we had early dinner reservations. On Sunday morning we came downstairs to a 5 star grade breakfast all cooked by Laurence. Even after checkout, John insisted we leave our cars and use the Inn as a home base for restrooms and coffee before we headed home and shopped around town. The rooms were so clean and so comfortable and the inn is a perfect walking distance to everything downtown. Skip the corporate hotels and support this great little gem!

The Almondy Inn was awesome. From check in to when we checked out. Staff were very warm, friendly and inviting. The breakfast was incredible. Super delicious way to start the day. We met a few nice people around the big table that encouraged conversation. The afternoon wine and cheese was where / when we met John the inn keeper. The wine was great as were the cheese and crackers, but more than that was the conversation. John was a wealth of knowledge about Newport and things to do and places to eat… The room was very clean, bed comfy and linens were nice. All in all a great place to stay. Highly recommend it ..

Perfect place to stay close for a walk to all the shops and restaurants! We had a wonderful stay! The staff were all very friendly with great recommendations for things to do and places to dine. John shared some Newport history with us during the delicious wine and cheese hour. The bed was very comfortable and the room was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious! We definitely recommend for a night or two away! Thank you!

Thr most comfortable beds and pillows 2 min walk to Bowens wharf shopping and restaurants. Chef served hot breakfast every day and wine and cheese happy hours everyday. Staff are the friendliest in the entire area. I highly suggest the Almondy Inn to anyone visiting newport!

The Inn was everything that we had hoped for. Very clean, room was spot on. Staff was very attentive and helpful, even helping us "get away from people". Breakfast each day was delicious. We highly recommend the Almondy for a time to oneself.

Had a great visit (our third) to the Almondy Inn. Gracious hospitality from making the reservation through to a friendly tip for the area as we checked out. Perfectly located to all in Newport with beautifully presented breakfast to match our desires, wonderful hosting by Shelby, and tasteful holiday decorations! Clean and spacious suite setup was perfect for our family of three…and included a cozy fireplace, too. Enjoyed 22 Bowen’s, Diego’s and the Cliff Walk. We will be back again…thanks, Almondy Inn!

Impeccable service, breakfast (I didn’t even know that lemon curd & lavender crepes existed, but now I love them), rooms, location. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more, or had better hospitality. Newport, itself, is fun to wander around, though a few of the shops/cafes are closed for the winter months.
