The Glendeveor

Another great stay here at the Glendeveor. Our room had great views down the street towards the sea. Everything we wanted was there and a comfortable bed. Breakfast had all we required with a hot breakfast. It's ideally situated just a short walk from the town centre.

I rarely write reviews but the Glendeveor deserved one. I dropped my mum here who is staying for a week & we had such a warm welcome, nothing would seem to be too much trouble. helped make sure she knew how the 24 hour access worked, showed us where breakfast would be & when the door is open then breakfast is ready & to just help yourself to anything. There is a kitchen/food prep area for guests to use which has an honesty fridge to store own food also has a microwave, kettle & plates etc all were very clean. there is a guest lounge with pool table & darts, can use this room to eat and socialize or just relax its not a bar but you can bring in your own drinks & own food and just keep the place clean and tidy, respect. so so friendly & very happy to receive guests and make everyone welcome. the room is perfect, very clean great views and is exactly what she was looking for. This really is an amazing place in the heart of Newquay close to shops, bars, beaches and everything else. Would definitely book to come back.

Great hotel to stay in , so close to the town centre, few minutes walk, but far enough not to have the noise. Lovely comfy beds and pillows, all rooms en suite, nice buffet breakfast plus hot food. Friendly no fuss hotel and a free carpark! Large lounge with fridge and freezer ( with ice supplied) where you can enjoy the view with your own drinks, Kitchen available to cook your own food.

Absolutely wonderful little Cornish gem , stayed here to visit boardmasters but wanted some comfort , spoke to John prior to the stay and he couldn’t be more helpful , absolutely ignore the reviews about being basic this was such a lovely authentic Cornish hotel and we were made to feel so welcome , it was only a short stroll from the main Newquay town so we had the best of both worlds visiting the festival and spending time in Newquay. The rooms are super clean and roomy , lovely kitchen for guest use and good breakfast . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lovely bit of Cornish charm that can become lost in today’s chain hotels , highly recommend and we will be back for sure . Thank you for the great hospitality and your wonderful hotel that ticked every box . On a foot note we had just returned from a 5 star in Mexico the week before and enjoyed this far more .

Very basic accommodation. Poor quality cooked breakfast with no choices. Ants on dresser where tea & coffee were sited. Not particularly clean. Small room on ground floor. Easy walk into centre of Newquay. Excellent parking provided. Wouldn’t stay again

A lovely B and B and great value for money. Breakfast is included in the price and there was lots of choice, cereals, bread, croissants, yoghurts, jam, honey, nutella etc, there was even a hot food selection, scrambled egg, sausage and beans. We had a nice room with a partial view of the sea, it was very clean and tea and coffee was replenished daily. There is a room where guests can eat and prepare their own food and even a washing machine. Staff were very helpful and friendly, we would visit again. It’s just 5 minutes from the seafront.
