Absolutely fantastic, stayed 2 nights evening meal and spa treatment, If I could give more stars, I would. The staff are so friendly that everyone has a smile and is very helpful. The food is fantastic. We knew it was lovely as we'd always stop in when travelling from Belfast to Laois. I love that when they cater for weddings that the party is in a separate building to the main hotel so no issues re noise. The secret garden is amazing, and whoever is behind the design and look must be so proud. What a lovely location for photos. We had a spa treatment and wow it was amazing, after you can use facilities of hot tub, steam room, sauna swimming pool or the relaxing area and treated to sorbet and fruit. Absolutely amazing trip and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We recently had our wedding at The Carrickdale Hotel & could not recommend it enough. The staff, food, rooms & service were all amazing. Nothing was ever too much & they couldn't do enough for us. We would also like to highlight how amazing our wedding organiser, Rachel was. She was outstanding & made our whole booking stress free and run better than we hoped! Highly recommend for weddings, functions and night stays here. Thank you for making our day so memorable.

Myself and my partner had our wedding in the carrickdale hotel on the 1st of July, David was our wedding coordinator, the service from David from start to finish was outstanding he went above and beyond and explained everything and answered any questions we had, our wedding couldn’t have went any better. David and all the staff at the carrickdale hotel were very professional and accomadting from start to finish. Myself and my partner would highly recommend the carrickdale hotel to anybody that are thinking of having there wedding at the carrickdale hotel. Wonderful Stay for a Special Family Occasion – June 28th We stayed for one night on Saturday, June 28th for a special family occasion, and everything was perfect. The warm welcome, comfortable rooms, delicious dinner, and lovely sit down breakfast made it a truly memorable visit. The staff were friendly and attentive, helping to make the celebration extra special. Thank you for a fantastic stay – we’ll definitely be back!

We got married in The Carrickdale Hotel & Spa on March 2025. From the day we went to their wedding viewing day, we instantly fell in love! We were made to feel so welcome and the staff were very friendly. Our wedding coordinator Michelle went above and beyond for us. Nothing was a bother, I was able to contact her even on her days off and she replied to me asap. They made planning our wedding as stress free as possible. Everyone complimented the food at our wedding and service. Would 100% recommend the Carrickdale to any bride or groom getting married!

We stayed as a family of 7 at Easter for 2 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. Check in was very warm and welcoming. Staff were polite, professional and friendly. We were delighted to find that our rooms were ready early. We enjoyed afternoon tea shortly after arrival. It was delicious! A lovely range of sandwiches and treats. Very good value for money and staff serving were very attentive. Plenty of top ups of tea and coffee! Our rooms were spacious, clean and had a good range of amenities. Beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. We enjoyed all of the food at the hotel. We dined in the restaurant and bar. Both meals were fabulous and we all really enjoyed the food. It was lovely to relax in the hotel lobby after dinner in the evening and enjoy some family time. Breakfast was also very nice. The cooked breakfast was cooked to order which was lovely. We all enjoyed time at the pool during our stay. There was also a mini golf in the gardens which was very fun! The hotel is a short drive from Slieve Gullion which is stunning to visit. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The fabulous staff made our stay very enjoyable and this was definitely the highlight of our stay. A very good hotel that offers value for money. We will definitely be back!
