So beautifully decorated, and also quiet and comfortable, There was luscious landscaping on the expansive grounds with several outdoor seating areas available. We found our room easy to access and enjoyed perfect breakfast during our stay. My husband really appreciated having a recliner in the room. We enjoyed talking to the owner.

Staying at The Holly & Ivy Inn was an excellent experience. Everything was perfect -- seriously could not have been better. It was perfectly clean and the room was spacious. It was so reasonable and just a wonderful place for my husband and I to be. The owner was friendly and pleasant. We would love to stay again!

When our plans to stay at Rock Barn fell through, I started looking at other options and chose Holly & Ivy Inn. So glad we did! It's a beautiful old stately home but with a modern vibe (and air conditioning). We stayed in the Master Suite which was spacious and tastefully appointed. The whole place is decorated beautifully including the outdoor spaces. I defy anyone to find a single piece of dust in the place! The self-serve breakfast was a nice touch as it included snacks and fruit to take with us hiking, etc. We also really enjoyed trying out restaurants in Newton and Conover and checking out the historic buildings. We would definitely return!

We had an early a.m. meeting in Hickory and chose the Holly & Ivy Inn over a hotel. A great decision! Our suite was beautifully designed with warm colors and so many conveniences and upgrades not often seen in a nearly 100-year-old home. The gorgeous pink-hued breakfast room -- well-stocked with healthy choices -- is absolutely stunning. Owners Kristen and Kevin could not have been kinder with dining and local sights suggestions. We walked to nearby Geppeto's for dinner (perfect!), and strolled the idyllic downtown Newton, which has recently undergone renovation. We highly recommend the Inn and look forward to our next visit!

This was the most adorable place I have ever stayed at. The rooms were beautifully decorated and so cozy and CLEAN! I greatly appreciate how much care the owners of the property have put into this home. Definitely will stay again when l’m back in the area!

We're from Switzerland and were guests here because we attended the Ace Frehley concert at the Newton Performing Arts Center. Simply put: We've never stayed in a more beautiful guesthouse. The house, and certainly the suite we stayed in, couldn't have been more beautifully appointed. Furthermore, everything was very, very clean. Great location, great Newton, great hosts. We hope to be back one day.

We loved our stay at the Holly and Ivy. It was our second time staying at the inn. It is immaculately decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the hosts were very accommodating. We love the town of Newton. We will be back when we are in the area again.

Such a fantastic place- from the beauty of the decor & grounds to the proximity to downtown. The owners live onsite & do all in their power to make your stay amazing! I was attending an event at the nearby Newton Performing Arts Center & it was a short pleasant walk. Highly recommend this beautiful inn.

it is always a pleasure to stay at the Holly & Ivy, very comfortable place, safe and relaxing. Super clean !!!!!!!!! i have stayed there 4 times and will not go anywhere else when i am in town... Owners are always helpful and ready to accommodate all my needs.
