Amazing hospitality, all guests were catered for and had the best time. All the staff were amazing organising the wedding of our dreams. We were sad it was all over as we loved every minute of it. Definitely would recommend getting married at this beautiful venue

Had a lovely anniversary stay in one of the Garden Rooms. the staff were great and all went seamlessly. i had an issue with my original booking at a sister hotel (through another site) and the booking staff for the group couldn't have been more helpful or gone any further with their suggestions on how to rebook the perfect stay. We had a family room with hot tub, chocolate dipped strawberries with wine on arrival, dinner at the joiners arms and breakfast delivered to the room in the morning...bliss.

I’d give this place a 3, we arrived here to stay in the garden rooms for my nephews wedding. And although the wedding day was absolutely fantastic the accommodation was a let down, we stayed in room 9 and on arriving we found a dirty half filled glass on the bathroom window sill … the large sliding patio door had a thick heavy curtain but no privacy net so the curtains had to be closed on getting dress and the lighting wasn’t very good. In plugging in my phone to charge i pulled the bed side table to one side to find it thick of dust and fluff !!! I’m presuming the housekeeping can’t get her mop in there as it hadn’t been touch for a long time. We raised the issues when we left and were promised a response…. 3 weeks now and not a peep, I’ve sent an email but had no reply ! I paid good money to stay in a dirty room !!!

We had such an amazing wedding day! A huge shoutout to the wonderful staff who helped us in planning the day (a special thank you to Hannah), as well as the team who organised and ran the wedding day itself. We had an absolute disaster with our wedding cake and the NH management team arranged for a cake to be baked and delivered on the morning of the wedding. Honestly, they went above and beyond! Big love to Ian our master of ceremonies who was an absolute delight and loved by all of our guests. All in all, what a wonderful, beautiful, day that we will treasure forever.

From the very first look around and booking our wedding venue the team at Newton Hall have nothing short of phenomenal. Hannah was our wedding coordinator and has supported us all the through the process, she was so professional and friendly making sure everything was perfect. On the day we had Lucy as our wedding manager and Andrew as our master of ceremonies, again these two were just sensational and did such a fabulous job of making sure our big day celebrations ran smoothly. They were also extremely professional and friendly. I can’t fault anything about it! All of our guests have told us that our wedding day is the best wedding they have ever attended which is just amazing to hear! We couldn’t be happier so thank you Newton Hall, Hannah, Lucy, Andrew and all of the wonderful team for making our wedding dreams come true!

We stayed here as part of a birthday present after looking at the website and being lulled in by the pictures on it. From check in to check out the service was laughably terrible. Car park was flooded and muddy, then on checking in was given the wrong keys for our garden room. The whole site is poorly lit and there are no pavements, just all stone chippings which again was flooded. Parts of the park are completely unlit and uneven. Impossible for anyone with mobility issues to get around. There is no restaurant on site and you are directed to a nearby pub called the joiners Arms. We asked for directions and were told we had to walk in the pitch black through a wooded area in the rain. It's absolutely unbelievable they feel fine directing people and sometimes families through wooded areas in the dark to be able to get a meal. Their suggestion was to maybe use the torch on our phones to find the way. The garden room patios aren't as secluded as the pics would have you believe and people are walking by looking in so if you have a hot tub, it's not the most private of places. The rooms are attached to each other so if you get a noisy neighbour, you can hear everything through the walls. On going for breakfast in the hall we were met with a wedding party all clearly hungover, shouting profanities across the breakfast room at each other and lounging around the hall with hoods up. The staff couldn't care less. We were told on checkin that breakfast would be at the hall but after sitting amongst the chav wedding party for 20 mins the staff came and told us we should have been in the local pub for breakfast. Again expecting us to walk in the rain, through mud and woodland areas at 9am to get to the place. Overall if you're looking for a 5 star experience, this would be the last place I would come. Its 2 star at best.

Attending a wedding here at this beautiful venue. The venue itself is nicely done out with lovely surrounds and the staff we encountered were all friendly and efficient. Bar prices for spirits are ridiculous but pints are what you would expect to pay. Breakfast was amazing and great service also. Food at the wedding was really good and the staff were excellent. Docking a point as the room was underwhelming. We paid a lot of money for the room but the walk in shower smelled of drains, there was a lot of dust, nowhere to hang a towel in the bathroom, coat hook that was so low the coat was half on floor in bedroom, hairdryer provided but no plug besides the mirror to plug it in. Would certainly recommend for a wedding, rooms could do with some TLC as some are much nicer than others. Ours had beams that if you were 6ft plus you had to be careful not to smack your head off them and due to the roof, the bed is under a slant so you have to be careful whilst in bed also to avoid a whack.

We paid quite a lot of money for a courtyard room, while staying over for a colleague's wedding. The room was dirty, dusty, foisty smelling and freezing cold. There was white fluid spattered up the wall, a family of large spiders behind the curtains, cobwebs all over the rustic stone walls. The bathroom door locked from the outside (?) and there wasn't really anywhere to put the kettle safely, other than to balance it on a precarious bedside table. The TV remote didn't work and the breakfast was laughably poor given how extortionately expensive it was. We were very disappointed, given how much we paid for a single night.
