Balavil Hotel

What a gem of a place. The food was beautiful and so clearly homemade. The staff were great and the hotel is just stunning. The kids menu isn’t full of rubbish which is so rare, both my kids had the burger and it was gorgeous. I had the spaghetti and it was delicious. Please go and enjoy a lovely family meal here.

Attended tonight and place is lovely. Sadly couldn’t eat as was advised residents only I feel this should be highlighted as now in a position due to limited places around no where to eat other than a takeaway As much as I understand the concept if understaffed or whatever , when a business has a. We looked at the menu when passing and thought “yeah, that’ll do”. When we got seated we were shown the Specials and went with them. Haggis Pakora! Sounds nuts ? OMG awesome ! Followed by Haddock and chips which I thought was a “safe bet”. Again awesome. There were two big fillets which I thought I’d never finish. But the batter was so light, and the fish cooked perfectly that it was an easy task. Mrs had the Chilli, which wouldn’t have been spicy enough for me. But such was the service I have no doubt they could have added more punch if asked. All round great meal in lovely decor. Booking is advisable as they get coach parties staying at hotel and using the restaurant.
