The Parkview Hotel

Strong impression that there was no chef in the kitchen. farcical attempts at chowder, seafood linguine etc. Honestly the whole thing was so pathetic we ended up having a good laugh over it. Still though, not funny to be expected to pay for such a pathetic attempt at food.

We had the pleasure of having our wedding reception in this truly beautiful hidden gem. From the day we booked our amazing wedding coordinator Helen could not do enough for us. All of our wacky ideas was no problem for her and her wonderful team that she has. Every single member of staff in this hotel is very polite and so helpful. We had a big wedding reception of 160+ and not one person had a bad thing to say about the hotel the staff or the food everything was amazing and Helen really did do a fantastic job not just on the night but for the year and a half that we have been dealing with her. Helen your truly special and amazing at your job, we where so lucky to have you as our weeding coordinator and the hotel is so lucky to have you work for them so from Alison and myself thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our special day even more special.

superb friendly staff great rooms the food in the restaurant was not only fantastic but it would choke a horse booked this as a surprise for my wife's sister for her birthday she was so happy she is going back at Christmas even though she only lives 10 miles away for her and her friends we will definitely be back well done to all

Nice, modern hotel in a small town. Lunch was quiet, in the bar/restaurant area. Friendly waiting staff, medium price point. Good selection of meats and fish. Full bar service. The restaurant is spacious with good natural light. There is no need to book if you are eating here during the week.

we decided to travel to Ireland on a coach holiday we stayed in a small village where this hotel was the hotel was very nice the 1st night we had dinner at 8 pm because of the time we arrived and we where the only coach party there at this time 17 of us got served quite quick breakfast was help yourself to cold food cereals etc and you ordered hot food which was very good you had people coming in from outside as the hotel had a bar and served food on a couple of nights it took longer between 2 to nearly 3 hrs I don1t think they had enough staff as we had to wait (maybe we had to all get served together as a coach which I do not think is right when there was only 15 of us at some meals) on our last night there was another coach party from Belgium only staying 1 night and leaving early next day when we arrived for breakfast we found the products for breakfast had not been replaced and we had to ask for several items maybe a slight miscalculation on amounts needed for our breakfast The room was very nice everything we needed but our room overlooked the main road only 1 road in and out so traffic stared around 6ish on 1 morning then hotel must have been getting a delivery so the delivery van had stopped right under our window at 5am needless to say we did not get much sleep we tended to stay in the hotel at night overall we did enjoy the stay nice location and nice friendly staff

Our first time staying at this hotel. We found the hotel room spacious and clean. It was a disappointment to discover there was no air conditioning. We found the room stifling both nights. The shower was unusable as the water was scalding hot. The thermostat wouldn't budge. We finally got it to turn using a towel but still couldn't cool the water down. We had our evening meals in nanny Kelly's bar. The food was lovely and the staff were polite and attentive. Our second night was the worst nights sleep ever. Some other guests decided to go in and out of each other's room from 2.30am until 4am. Also when the guests either side closed their doors our wall shook. Very poor soundproofing.
