Selinda Camp

Having visited numerous safari camps, I can confidently say that Selinda Camp ranks as one of the best. The camp’s intimate setting, with only three rooms, made for a wonderfully private and personal experience. The food was world-class—delicious, diverse, and thoughtfully prepared. Every meal felt like a treat. The service was excellent from start to finish; the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Special mention goes to our guide, Esefa, who truly elevated our safari experience. Thanks to his expertise and sharp eyes, we were fortunate to see multiple leopards, wild dogs, and lions, which made each game drive thrilling and unforgettable. Selinda Camp sets a high standard for luxury safari camps, combining exceptional wildlife experiences with top-notch service and comfort. Highly recommended for those seeking an intimate and immersive safari adventure.

We stayed three nights in the Selnda suite and we couldn't have had a more memorable experience. The game drives were extremely productive and we saw more than we could have imagined with Lesh, an extremely experienced and knowledgable guide. The accommodations are a five star hotel in the bush, clean, beautiful, spacious, private and extremely comfortable. The view from the suite is breathtaking every moment of the day with a steady flow of hippos, antelope, birds and fluctuating light conditions. The staff is absolutely amazing, kind and always 100% helpful and supportive. The private chef created unique meals every day that were better than 99% of the gourmet restaurants you could visit in a city. If you want a premium experience at a premium price, this is the place. You will not be dissapointed.

We had the most amazing three night stay at Selinda. The best game drives with Opie. Amazing service from all staff members, who catered to our every need at all times. The high end camera provided during our stay was invaluable. After Selinda, we spent three nights at another camp that was purported to be of similar quality and we found ourselves missing Selinda in a variety of ways, perhaps none more so than the warmth of all of the people at Selinda. When we make our way back to Africa, we will certainly seek out Selinda and other Great Plains locations!

The best camp we went to in Africa. We went to two other camps that were wonderful, but this camp was simply the best we saw or stayed at.

Wonderful designed camp situated on the bancs of Selinda Spillway with beautiful view around. Tents were luxurious and tastefully furnished. First class service of Selinda team. Food of chef Matso 5 stars. Excellent wines. We celebrated my Birthday Dinner in the wine cellar. Wonderful atmosphere! Game drives were excellent, Foster, our guide was superbly knowledgeable. We enjoyed a sundowner in the car in mid of 5 lions, watched wild dogs bathing in the mud, saw elephants, hippos, zebra, giraffes... rich wildlife. A very special event was a lunch cruise in mid of water lilies and swimming elephants in the Selinda Spillway. Only great! The lodge is excellently managed by Bujos and Lizzy. From the moment we set foot on the boat that would take us to the camp, we knew we were into something very very special! The camp is stunningly decorated, beautiful antiques, carved doors, copper bathtub and to top it off, Beverly Joubert's art. The team headed by Bujos (BJ) and Lizzie were first class. Our guide Alex went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I loved the presentation he gave us one afternoon on the history of Botswana and the impressive work Great Plains Conservation does. We saw some amazing sightings with him including lionesses with a zebra kill, a lioness with her adorable cubs, a gorgeous leopard whom we spent considerable time with and of course all the wildlife you could expect. Truly special! One morning we had a surprise bush breakfast and we spent one afternoon on the boat in the Selinda Spillway looking at beautiful birds, elephants swimming, and other wildlife along the water. I cannot say enough good things about this place, it's just heaven on earth. I truly hope we will have the possibility of going there again as we fell in love with Selinda Camp and all it has to offer. Kudos to all the team and special shout out to our guide Alex!
