Parking is NOT free, $10/day and there was shattered glass all over the parking lot the entire time we were there. I unexpectedly got my period in the middle of the night and bled onto the bedsheets, and onto the mattress pad underneath. I didn’t think it would be a big deal because as every woman knows, blood comes out with cold water and bleach. However, after checking out I received a call from the hotel who told me they’re charging my credit card $250 for the blood stained sheets. I tried explaining and apologizing that it was an accident, the owner raised his voice over mine, called me disgusting then hung up on me. I went back to the motel asking to see the sheets but he would not let me, and he only showed me photos of the stain that would easily come out if they actually washed their sheets. I argued that I did NOT authorize any extra charges but he contended that I did, yet would not let me see the form with my signature nor would he even let me in the lobby to speak to another employee. The only form I signed was a damage form, and blood on sheets isn’t damage, it’s washable but clearly this hotel doesn’t clean their rooms or anything in them. If a child wet the bed, would they charge $250 as well? Or if someone accidentally spilled a drink on the bed? Apart from this incident that left me completely dehumanized, degraded, and out $250, the motel door locks don’t work properly, fridge doesn’t work, and no fan in the bathroom. Also, the entire hotel STINKS and they employees are not welcoming at all.
