Omani Guest House is located in the heart of the historic souk and near Nizwa Fort. This guest hous is very cosy, well designed. It provides air-conditioning rooms, good hospitality. The owner and staff are very friendly and always helpful. There is also good restaurant provided by the owner of the guesthouse where you can it fresh, tasty breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend this place.

t is different then other Hotels.. We first visited this Hotel then really love it here. Garden is pureee love :)) There is even swing in the garden.. Spacious place for breakfast or just sunbathing . Rooms are also well designed. Price is so good for this facilities of he hotel. Also thankyou so much to Manager Who assisted us very kindly and informatively in the evening at our visit. I definetely stay here in my Nizwa visit. Also there is SPA. Rooms have so nice bath/ jakuzi equipments. Its also i think for a honeymoon or event hotel :) Clean, decorative, reasonable price, nice team.

I have rated my 'experience' excellent because staying here gave an insight into the Omani way of life. This is not a five star luxury hotel! We used Waze to navigate to Nizwa. This resulted in a white-knuckle drive along single lane winding roads until we came upon a no-entry sign. I parked and walked to the guest house to seek help. I met Ali, who was delightful. We walked back to the car and he offered to drive (happy to accept the offer). He drove through a narrow arch the width of parking space and turned the car round and parked it on a wider section of the road and helped us with our bags back to the guest house. We completed the check-in seated at a small table with Omani coffee and dates. Ali gave us some helpful information before showing us to our room. The room was clean and simple. The bathroom had all the essentials but the craftsmanship was more expedient than an exemplar! The tap (faucet) on the wash basin was free to swivel and the floor and wall tiles looked like they had been laid by a beginner. The ceiling fan was effective and the air conditioner unit kept us cool at night. We liked the roof terrace with seating. It was a good place to sit and read. The guest house is well-located for the fort/castle and the souk. There isn't a great choice of places to eat in Nizwa so we went to the barbecue in the garden (from 6 pm) and enjoyed kebabs with moutabel and hummus. We also booked breakfast for the morning. The breakfast was Omani-style: fruit, Arabic bread with foul medamas (fava beans), western sliced white bread, boiled egg and karak spicy tea with milk and sugar. We stayed two nights, but with hindsight, arriving around lunchtime, it's possible to see the best of Nizwa in an afternoon/evening plus the next morning. If driving a rental car, follow signs to the souk, park in the large car park there and walk to the guest house, to avoid the narrow roads.
