Glenmore Palms Motel

We stayed here for two nights and the room was really nice, clean and spacious. There was also a nice little kitchen with a beautiful big, spotlessly clean fridge. The bathroom was certainly big enough and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Parking was easy and right in front of the room. The only complaint I had was people smoking directly outside our door, while we couldn't really smell it in the room, we had to walk through it to get in or out. The motel is easy to get to. Although it's a little way out of town, there's a tavern, a service station and a Bunnings almost next door. They have a swimming pool but we didn't get to use it. Nice little laundry ($4 / load, dryers free) It's right on the highway but we heard no traffic noise at all. Reception were friendly and helpful. All in all this place is a pretty good place to stay.

We had a major breakdown of our car. Managment shuffled things around to give us the same room for 5 nights. Thank you so very much appreciated. Rooms are a good size, and very clean. Despite being on a busy road we didnt here any traffic. Bed is comfortable There is a lovely pool area as well. Parking at the door is handy. A huge bonus is that 2 minuets walk you will find a little shopping center. Drakes Supermarket, Pharmacy , and several take ways, also the Tavern who serve dinner. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Glenmore Palms motel for one night while travelling through Rockhampton, and it was both a delight and a relief. I have had a couple of not so good experiences in the town, with accommodation not up to what I was expecting for the star rating, but the Glenmore Palms has earned every one of its stars and more. The people at reception were helpful and kind. The room I stayed in was terrific - large, scrupulously clean and new. It was well appointed and roomy with a kitchenette area, separate table and chairs as well as lots of bench and luggage space and a separate cupboard. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything was new and shiny and clean, it all worked and nothing was broken. It was sheer luxury. In addition there is a shopping centre next door with takeaway dinner options and I believe a supermarket although I didn't go in there. There is also a tavern a couple of doors up. You can order breakfast to your room, but I did not choose to do that this time. I will be back and I'm telling my friends the search for accomm in Rocky is over - stay at Glenmore Palms.

Unfortunately our campervan had broken down in the middle of the night and our insurance company had told us they had booked a room at this motel. Therefore, we rang the bell at gone 1.20am and David the owner let us in and kindly explained no one had contacted him and no booking had been made but we could of course have a room if we needed one. We contacted our insurance company again and David patiently waited for over 20 mins until we got through and they confirmed they hadn't made the booking yet and asked if they could make it at that moment instead. Despite having woken David up early hours in the morning and keeping him awake whilst we tried to speak to out insurance company to sort out the issue we were having regarding the broken campervan and having nowhere to stay for the night he was so kind and patient with us. The room he gave us was so spacious and it had air con which was much needed. It also had all the amenities we needed such as shampoo, conditioner, bath soap etc and everything was so neatly presented. The pillows were so comfortable and we enjoyed our stay here it was perfect. The next morning he checked in with us again and went above and beyond to help us. He is an amazingly kind and generous man! The lady at reception was also super helpful and so lovely and kind. The staff and owners here really do go above and beyond and are so welcoming and friendly - I cannot sing their praises enough. We will definitely be returning! This was hands down the best customer service experience we have ever received!!
