Homewood Suites by Hilton North Bay

the location is great for us, no traffic noise, close enough restaurants and the breakfast was good and love the latter check out. the only thing that could improve is the noise from the flag pole out front. it was windy the night of our stay and the flag weight was bangging on the pole. the weight could be wrapped in rubber to eliminate the noise.

Laura on the front desk welcomed us when we arrived a little early for our one night stay. Every employee we met was genuine and friendly. Our room was 605 top floor overlooking Lake Nipissing. Large clean window…and huge room with an amazing view. The room was spotless. The king size bed had the usual outstanding sheets. Breakfast was hands down the best we have ever had at a hotel. Peameal bacon, triangle crispy hash browns and the usual hotel fare,— but now comes the surprise. Make your own tacos! Soft tortillas to fill with shredded pork and all the ingredients you can possibly need there for your fun different breakfast. The meat option changes daily. 👍 Thus for $215 total I totally recommend this hotel for cleanliness, room size, room view ,bed comfort, and breakfast surprise! This hotel is walking distance to downtown.

Excellent option in North Bay. Positives- Location is walking distance to waterfront area (or a short drive) There is a RONA across the street The suites are huge Beautifully decorated Breakfast was very good Staff are friendly Gym is excellent- best hotel gym in North Bay Newspapers, free water, ample parking, luggage racks, lots of nice touches Cons- No good restaurants nearby Overall the best hotel in North Bay

Our check in was quick and efficient, unfortunately breakfast was not going to open until 7 and we had to check out but then but we will see what’s available when we go down. The room was spacious we had a suite with two queens and a separate room with a sofa and kitchenette. The room was clean but had an odd smell in some spots. The washroom was clean with the exception of a patched over ceiling in the tub area and the bathroom sink would not drain which was not great. I went to wash my travel mug in the kitchen but there is no dish soap only a dishwasher tab which I have had dish soap available at previous hotels like this. I wanted to fill the ice bucket so I could have a drink but the bag was old and used in it. When it was time to settle I for the night I thought it was the air conditioning making a noise but it turned out there was very loud low bass music coming from somewhere I called the desk just to ask about it and if 11 was the quiet time in the hotel. Turns out she said there is a party boat that socks right when the hotel is. It is really loud and upon reading other views this is an ongoing issue. Not much you can do about it, however having travelled this far and needing a good sleep to be up early in the morning it may be a rough night until the bar closes down. Overall I would recommend but those extra touches are just missing at this location.

We had a pet friendly room on the 6th floor. The room did smell musty and had water stains on the roof. We killed two earwigs on the floor. However, it was one night and the bed was comfortable and room was really clean. The tub was huge which was nice, and the gym was decent.

Super clean, comfortable and friendly. The beds and pillows are fantastic, everything is clean and new. Good location and helpful staff. Haven’t tried any other hotels in North Bay but this one would be hard to beat. The only sour note was the standard hotel breakfast included tough overcooked ham and sweet potato hash browns, which is an odd combination. But the staff bend over backwards for you, so no big deal about the breakfast (which is free anyway!)

we came here to see a relative on a thanksgiving long weekend . We chose this hotel because it has a full kitchen and near the lake. We brought our own grocery and decided to cook instead of eating out. Hotel offers free breakfast. It was raining so we weren't able to walk along beach but we can see the view of the lake from our room.
