Hampton Inn by Hilton North Bay

As a business traveller I am looking for a few things. Fair price, comfortable bed, and a clean welcoming room. If breakfast is offered, then it should be in accordance with the price charged. I frequent a good number of Hampton Inn yearly in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. This location is the location that meets and surpasses my expectations time after time. The bed is firm, bathroom spotless, room well appointed, and the variety of breakfast foods is excellent. This is the one location that continues to offer a fresh fruit salad. Spotless kitchen. Staff always wear a smile, and the location is excellent. Bravo.

Pros- Great location, easy to find near a great restaurant- Lot 88. Tim’s across the street. Easy access coming in from northern Ontario. Rooms and common areas recently renovated and bright, fun vibe. Cons- The gym. I complained- highest weight is 20lbs. It’s tiny and very limited options. Even the HI in Timmins has a MUCH better gym.If a functional gym is required stay at Homewood Suites here in NB. Staff said there have been multiple complaints about the gym. Only other negative is location is far from waterfront but IMHO more than makes up for it with retail and restaurant options nearby. A good choice but the gym really sucks.

We booked a jacuzzi suite. The room was far from clean. Mold in the bathroom, the toilet hadn't been cleaned. The jacuzzi tub was dirty, all kinds of black stuff came out of the jets. Had it cleaned and happened again. Some of the jets in the tub didn't even work. Would not recommend staying here. We checked out immediately

This isn't the world's fanciest hotel, but it is the nicest one we've been in for quite a while, and we were very happy with our stay. Location, staff, room, bed comfort, cleanliness, breakfast, wifi, everything was great. We slept well. The only nits: there were some scuffs and scrapes on the walls and doors, and a little bit of mold on the shower grout.

Excellent place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent beds and pillows. Excellent location. Very quiet. Continental breakfast was very good. Staff was great also. Great parking area. Close to shopping area and other restaurants.

Worst experience ever! We booked two room for my granddaughter’s graduation and one of the rooms toilet did not work properly, called front desk and a young man came but could not correct the issue. He said he would send someone in the morning. Has we were getting ready for grad two management people came and were very rude and said there was nothing wrong with the toilet, the tank would not refill, we had to use the ice bucket and use water from the sink to fill the tank to flush. I told them my daughter’s room two floor up toilet worked so I why are you telling me nothing is wrong with this one when the tank does not fill. Never never again would we stay at this hotel in North Bay. Very rude staff and very poor customer service.

I asked for feather pillows, and that is what I got. Bravo. I usually have to ask twice when I visit other Hampton's. The breakfast nook here is the best equipped out of the Sudbury, Elliot Lake and Thunder Bay Hampton Inn locations. The utensils are wrapped for perfect hygiene, freshly made fruit salad is always on the menu at this stop, there are trays for your dishes making the moving back and forth a breeze, the breakfast nook staff always have a smile for you, and the front desk staff are helpful. All this and more at a very reasonable price.

Worst experience at a Hilton Property, I literally cancelled my booking and refused stay there before I even checked in. Desk staff were rude, condescending, and unhelpful. They argued charges and refused to let us check in after, accusing me of yelling at them, even though witnesses dismissed that accusation.
