This was a Suprise stop over on the way to our holiday venue. pleasant and unspoiled hospitality. Clean rooms and good breakfast. the dinner was good as well.

Great place to stay, very neat and tidy, delicious food and great game views. Owners were very helpful and gave recommendations on what you wanted to do for the day as well as offering to organise trips and visits.

I cannot say enough about Msunduze, it was just a magical stay and lived up to all my expectations. Rose and Mike were exceptional hosts, and all the staff were kind and accommodating. The cottages are adorable, clean and well stocked with everything you need. The bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows and crisp clean linens. All of the food served was consistently delicious, beverages and snacks were always available. My favorite was the fresh brewed coffee in the mornings in the lodge, listening to the sounds of the forest and watching the day’s wildlife meander down the Msunduze river. I will definitely be back on my next trip, and cannot wait!

We really enjoyed our stay at Msunduze River Lodge. I was a great base to investigate the surrounding areas of Jozini, Mkuze, Manyoni and Mfolozi. Mike and Rose were wonderful hosts, we found them interesting, friendly and extremely helpful. Mike's suggestions of places to visit were spot on , and the meals were superb.

This lodge is FABULOUS! I’ve stayed at numerous high-end lodges that cost well over $1,000/night yet none have the charm and quaintness than this lodge has. Unlike the vast majority of lodges, this one is run by the owners Mike and Rose. As a result, it is maintained impeccably and the service is exemplary. Mike and Rose take such pride in providing the best experience possible and they succeed every time!

We were welcomed warmly & experienced the most wonderful hospitality in a very long time. The food was absolutely mouth watering & well presented. Thank you for making our stay an experience I will never forget. Will come back soon

It was a 1 night stay over and I was received warmly by Rose. The rooms and service received was exceptional and has a very homely feel which I appreciate. It is a great spot and I can't wait to return in the new year.

We stayed only for 1 night but we loved it. Very relaxing, great views of the riverbed (dry) and great hospitality from Rose and Mike. They made us a lovely braai dinner with the most fabulous steaks, also we "learned" to drum, which was great fun. Thanks once more

Arriving with excitement turned out to be the worst experience of my life.... I am so thankful that I did not have my family with me and rather my buddies as we where attending the KZN Drags... The host Rose actually told me that I should not have stayed in the bush if I did not like insects...how does 1 eat with huge spiders and insects landing in your plate????... These ppl show more love to animals than their fellow human beings.... Wanting to eat my meal in my room and being refused to do so as it is not allowed 'SAID Rose' ... Wanting Coffee at dinner and to be told that coffees are in our rooms... 'Said Mike'..coffee with a tea spoon of insects in the sugar...wow the bush life? .. Eating dinner at 8 30pm.... Not respecting another human beings character or wants and needs as Hosts in the industry you chose to be in is absolutely appalling! This place is a digrace to the travel and tourism industry!
