The services and friendliness of all staff were infectious. Our game drives was definitely something for the books! We same the entire big 5 and the rangers made sure of that! The food was amazing! Mavela Game Lodge is a hidden gem located in the Manyoni Private Game Reserve in South Africa. We had visited mavela game lodge on four occasions from 2016 to 2019 which were always excellent in all regard. We have just been again this November staying for four nights and since our last visit the accomodation has been upgraded and is absolutely outstanding. Jason our Guide was brilliant and so knowledgeable on all aspects of the bush flora and fauna and very interesting to listen to, also with a great sense of humour. We were treated to a once in a lifetime elephant sighting with the herd walking past both sides of the truck, what a treat to see these magnificent animals close up. A special thanks to Anistasia who took care of our needs at the lodge in a most friendly and professional manner from the moment she greeted us and throughout our stay. Also the food was excellent so our compliments to the chef.

We enjoyed our three night stay at the lodge. It’s in a beautiful location and the main lounge is comfortable with amazing views from the upper deck across the bush. Our room ( number one) was stunning with a huge elevated balcony where we could watch the game roaming close by. The team made us feel very welcome and gave us exceptional service. Our guide, Roland was very knowledgeable.

The Lodge was beautiful and all of the staff without fail were amazing, friendly and helpful. The rooms were stunning, with a balcony overlooking the most incredible view, and positioned well above ground level with game roaming outside. The public area was well stocked and welcoming. Food was beautiful. Our guide on the game drives was very knowledgeable and interesting. I would thoroughly recommend a stay.

This is one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed at. The landscape will leave you breathless and the lodge itself is simply stunning. Each safari had something new. The food, accommodation and team on the ground is just incredible, making each minute of your stay special. We'll definitely come back as soon as we can!
